Hard launching my new WEEKLY yoga class! You can practice with me every Thursday at 5pm at @oneyogahouse 🧘🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️

Here’s what to expect from my class, The Aligned ONE. This is an open-level, room-temperature Vinyasa class with an intentional blend of breath work, sequencing, and dharma. I aim to facilitate a safe, welcoming container for self-discovery in my classes. Together, we will build heat and ease by activating our joints and muscles, focus our minds through breath and asana, and find joy in movement and community. I hope you leave my class feeling peaceful and grounded.

I am so grateful to be a part of the OYH community - thank you to my mentor @annahaddadyoga for supporting me and believing in me❤️ I can’t wait to practice together! by @elizabethmoore.yoga

When was the last time you actually hung out with yourself? Not just sitting at home alone on social media - actually taking time to do your favorite things. As we head towards winter, your relationship with yourself becomes more important. Can you feel fulfilled in your own company?

I used to be too scared to try new things because I was afraid of embarrassing myself. But then how would I ever learn and grow? Now I don’t care if I fall on my face in front of a whole class. Learning a new pose may be the goal, but perfection isn’t the point. The point is the experience - presence in breath, body and mind. ❤️ #yoga #yogateacher #nycyoga by @elizabethmoore.yoga

The most special Sunday morning at Fairways & Flow 🤍⛳️✨

A little bit of yoga, a little bit of golf, and a whole lot of community. We loved bringing together such a wonderful room full of women to move, connect, learn, and enjoy a morning centered around wellness.

We’re so grateful to our incredible partners who helped make the day extra special for every attendee, from movement and recovery to fits and sips, and all the thoughtful details in between. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!

Here’s to more mornings like this, more women on the course, and more community along the way.
We can’t wait to do it again soon. 🍏

Stay tuned… ⛳️

I know what you’ve all been saying: “Wow Liz, I’m so obsessed with your classes, I can’t get enough. How can I practice with you all the time?” Great news! You can now practice with me online anytime on the @oneyogahouse Patreon page. 🤸‍♀️ I have two virtual classes up: full-body mobility, and a slow flow + pranayama class. Now you can all stop begging and pleading and blowing up my phone for more classes, ok?!? by @elizabethmoore.yoga

Sometimes change is gradual, sometimes it hits you like a truck. Today is my 28th birthday, yesterday I said goodbye to my cozy East Village apartment where I lived for seven years, last week I celebrated my 10 year anniversary in New York, and the week before, Marshall and I got the keys to our new apartment together. Seven years ago, I never could’ve imagined how joyful, rich, and vibrant my life is today. So while I feel emotional closing such an important chapter in my life, I don’t feel sadness - just immense gratitude and excitement for what’s to come. ❤️ by @elizabethmoore.yoga

Two years ago, I captured a ginger, and I can never let him go because gingers are an endangered species. 🧡 by @elizabethmoore.yoga

Hello from me and my hair sprout 🌱

I used to struggle with pretty challenging anxiety. People would tell me that I needed to “get out of my head and into my body”, but I had no idea what that meant. Being stuck in ruminating thought spirals for hours every day, I couldn’t see the possibility of ever quieting my mind. At some point, I was in the middle of a yoga class and I noticed that my thought loops had stopped. I realized that because I had to focus so much on the shapes, the alignment, my breathing, and what the teacher was saying, there was no room for my thoughts. I was totally existing in the present moment, in my body. The āsana practice became a safe haven for me - something I sought out to connect to myself and find moments of peace. As a teacher now, I guide students to experience yoga for themselves, and I hope to support them in finding their own connections to self. 🤍

Four weeks of flow ✨☀️🌸 I’m kicking off the month of May with a challenge to myself to share more about my work and the classes I teach. This class is centered around the theme of Santosha, contentment and gratitude. In this practice, I guide students to focus on the experience they’re having in their bodies - not what the shapes look like externally. To connect with their inner strength and breath so they can feel grateful for the privilege of practicing yoga and content in themselves. And I’m grateful to get to teach in this beautiful space and community @liminalyoga.nyc 💕🧘‍♀️ #yogateacher #yoga #santosha #nycyoga by @elizabethmoore.yoga

One year ago today, I graduated from my 200hr YTT program. I knew I loved yoga and I wanted to teach, but I was also terrified. I couldn’t imagine coming up with & teaching an entire 60min class. And now one year later, I teach ~7 classes/week at three studios!

This month, I’ve been talking about the Sanskrit term, santosha, in my classes. Santosha is one of the five Niyamas, or personal observances, and it means “contentment and gratitude.”

Spring is a time when many people’s goals come to fruition, and there is so much to celebrate. The second class of @oneyogahouse teacher trainees graduated this weekend, many of my friends just ran a half marathon, and I’m seeing everyone around me pursue new jobs and personal goals. And while there is certainly a lot of suffering in this world that’s out of our control, I know that each one of us has something to feel proud of and grateful for in our own lives.

Yoga teaches us that it’s important to cultivate contentment and gratitude for who and where we are right now. Of course we set goals and want things for our future, but we don’t attach so much emotion to what we don’t have yet. We work towards our goals, knowing that the ever-changing nature of the universe will bring us closer, but in the meantime, we also pause to savor the present.

I think it’s important for all of us to celebrate ourselves and each other. To reflect on where we were a year ago, and where we are now. A lot of positive change can happen in our individual lives. Maybe if we all practiced santosha more often, this collective vibration of gratitude could have a ripple effect on the world at large. ❤️

Girl have you seen the news lately? I think we all could let loose a little 💃🕺

I love to include somatic work in my yoga classes to release stuck energy, but sometimes it feels good to just dance and shake and run around the room ✨
