When I was 16 Shonen Knife taught me you can be punk and cute.
They showed me that joy sounds the same in every language and if you want to sing about snack foods and animals that's more than ok.
30 years later they're still teaching me. You can keep rocking and sharing joy (and Sweet Candy Power) as long as you're breathing.
Thank you so much for coming all the way to my little town again @shonenknifeofficial by @elizabooboo2

I've been very slack about this because, well, I had an organ removed unexpectedly, my brain has been very busy and LIFE. Today my bus is 20 minutes late and so I will use this time.
I'm fund-raising for @liptember I'll post more about that and why in the coming days, I hope.
Meanwhile, if you would like to sponsor me the link is below. If you want to buy a lippy from me, let me know. They're just $5. They don't wear well but they're super creamy and comfy.

I'm not #bistitchual but my vintage knitting pattern has crocheted finishes. YouTube uses American crochet language, as far as I can tell. Before there was the internet, there was Golden Hands.

Making use of what I've got to solve problems with problems.
Where to put the out of season duvet? Make a bolster.
What to make your bolster from? Some of your heaving stash of fabric and those bits of ribbon you've mysteriously acquired through your life.

One day, when I'm a grown up, I'll make another from an upholstery velvet and coordinating satin. For now, mad pattern clashing will do.

The waves of nostalgia, sadness and regret when you realise that at 45 a weekend well spent means much the same as it did at 15.
