“It’s just a half marathon”… it’s not- it’s 21.1 f**king kms and it’s really hard! I never thought I’d take on another long distance run after tearing my knee up 2 years ago but on Sunday, I did! The @melbmara half was a tough one. After a very short month of training and challenging conditions on the day, I managed to cross the finish line with so much pride in my thumping little heart, knowing I’d left absolutely nothing out there on the day. Huge thank you to everyone who supported me. @ben_edusei for your impeccable guidance through training, @shokzaunz for headphones that allowed me to listen to music and soak in everything around me, @finkle5 @christine_beal @juliabergin @caoimhe_kate for screaming at me at precisely the right moments throughout the race, @jonno_downes for telling me I could do it when I thought I couldn’t and @lululemonausnz for creating the opportunity for me to run in the Melbourne Marathon this year. To everyone that raced on the weekend- you’re all amazing and there’s no such thing as “just a half marathon”. by @ellarose_a
