There are places that make you slow down and savor the moment, and Huka Lodge is one of them. Tucked along the Waikato River in New Zealand’s North Island, this iconic lodge pairs luxury with understated natural beauty. Think riverside suites, cozy nooks, impeccable hospitality, fly-fishing, and days spent exploring the best of Taupō. A true New Zealand classic, and a reminder that sometimes the most memorable stays are the ones that make you never want to leave. @hukalodge by @elsewheretravelstudio

Jose Ignacio, always. Barefoot days, long lunches at La Huella, beautiful design, and effortless Uruguayan magic.

From the art and architecture of Bahia Vik, to lunch at La Huella, sunset at La Susana, and wandering through town… it’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and stay a little longer.

If you’re thinking about where to spend Christmas or ring in the New Year… consider this your sign. by @elsewheretravelstudio

Winter in Megève. Fresh snow, long lunches on the slopes, cozy evenings at Les Fermes de Marie, and plenty of time wandering the gorgeous little streets in between. From perfect ski days and seriously good food to fabulous shopping, chic boutiques, and a little après, this is our favorite kind of Alpine escape. @lesfermesdemarie by @elsewheretravelstudio

Normandy, France. Quiet coastal towns, winding country roads, long lunches, important history, and unmistakable French charm. by @elsewheretravelstudio

Set in the Noonu Atoll, Soneva Jani is known for its fabulous overwater villas, private pools, retractable bedroom roofs, and direct access to the lagoon. And, of course, the amazing villas that feature a waterside directly into the sea. @sonevajaniofficial by @elsewheretravelstudio

Londolozi will always be one of my favorite safari lodges in the world. Set in the heart of the Sabi Sand, it’s especially known for its incredible leopard sightings. But what makes it so special is the feeling of being completely immersed in the wild, with exceptional guiding, beautiful spaces, and amazing moments you simply can’t plan for. by @elsewheretravelstudio

A week at Il Pellicano: swims in the sea, long lunches, afternoons by the pool, and really nowhere else you’d rather be. One of our favorite places to disappear to on the Italian coast. @hotelilpellicano by @elsewheretravelstudio

Bhutan feels like a world apart, deeply rooted in tradition, and surrounded by some of the most stunning landscapes in the Himalayas. From ancient monasteries and prayer flags to beautiful mountain hikes and incredibly warm and generous people, it is a true gift to experience Bhutan. @sixsensesbhutan by @elsewheretravelstudio
