Overthinking.

We have all been there these past couple of years, haven’t we?

Yes, I did use ChatGPT to write this. Feel free to share it with your friend who tends to panic.

This year I had the chance to join the Spotify Design team as a Rive animator on Wrapped 2025, working alongside @aozop, @yllw_studio and Myles Robinette.

All animations were created in Rive, following the motion guidelines developed by the brilliant team at @vucko.co

Wrapped is a massive project that involves creatives, designers, engineers, data scientists, product managers and many other people across different teams at Spotify. It is the product of many hands and many minds working together, the credit belongs to all of them. I am grateful that I was able to contribute to a small part of such a wide collective effort. by @ema_colombo

Earlier this year I had the chance to bring new life to @notionhq ‘s AI Assistant, expanding its personality with four additional states. The whole project was created in @rive.app

The original Assistant was developed by the brilliant team at Buck, and I was lucky to be part of that project, an inspiring collaboration that set the tone for everything that followed.

This project perfectly embodies what motion design represents today, shaping the personality and emotional tone of brands.

I’ve been having more and more fun working on UX and UI-driven motion projects lately, and I truly believe this is where the future of our craft is heading. More to come soon! by @ema_colombo

Some more explorations made in @cavalry.app

It’s been fun to notice how my learning process is evolving. In the beginning I was mostly clicking around and pressing random buttons to see what would happen.

Now, my actions are becoming more intentional as I start to understand how things work and how to get the results I’m looking for.

Still a lot to learn, but it feels good to slowly build a new way of thinking about motion. by @ema_colombo

A day in the life of a designer by @ema_colombo

Had the pleasure of talking about the future of animation and visual art at @inmotion.playgrounds.

Such an amazing experience, in one of the best venues I’ve ever had the chance to speak at @barbicancentre

Huge kudos to everyone behind this beautiful festival.

Thanks to everyone who attended my talk!

Summer’s coming to an end.

There’s something about this season that always gets me, the way it gathers places, memories, and objects that only use for these few months.

Things that quietly disappear in September, and somehow always pull me back to being a kid.
