Do I look like a local? by @emaiuolo

#fbf to last weekend's #NYRRManhattan7M because it turned out to be a 🔥💥 day... And sometimes you have no idea what you set out to do or what you're ready for. I tend to not put any weight on races these days so it was quite surprising ⭐️shocking⭐️ when I ended up in the Women's top 20 (out of 2435) and 2nd in my Age Group (out of 357), and I had just gone out for a long run the day before... 🤔
Sometimes we are in better shape than we think, sometimes your brain plays tricks on you and they work. This was my 2nd PR this year, and I am feeling 💪my oats. Hard training sometimes bring good results, but sometimes, and I think this is my current state: a balanced stress-free happy life makes all things fall into place. I am having a good year (after that little messy situ the in January which turned into the happiest of all the things). I am enjoying it all. I feel healthy and strong. I feel LOVED ❤️ Nothing needs fixing or attending to. And every single person in my life is a cheerleader —you are ALL the bestests 🥰😘 I realize how incredibly lucky I am and that this might not last, but I am soaking it all in right now. Let it rain!

A message for my runners: you all know what you did. I need to stop crying, so stop this insanity (and yes, let’s get ready to start all of this all over again). 💖🩷💙🧡💗 by @emaiuolo

Today I started not knowing if I was gonna finish or walk most of the course. I have not gone over 14 miles in three years, since the last #TCSNYCMarathon I run.
I had no business attempting the distance other than grit and excitement and just wanted to see if I could start doing this again. And tbh I was done waiting. This was purely a fuck it decision.
Somehow, it worked. One million times better than I could have hoped for. It was incredible. I am still shocked.
It was 95% joy and 5% me trying to control my heart rate. But once 100% what I didn’t know I could Hope for.
This finish line is the new start line
Thanks NYC 💙🧡🩷 by @emaiuolo
