Can we PLEASE stop calling your hair “nappy” just because it’s tangled, frizzy, or not cooperating? 😭

As a stylist who has a tighter curl pattern, it’s honestly offensive when clients with looser curl patterns use the word “nappy” to negatively describe their hair.

Because what exactly are you associating that word with? 👀

There’s nothing wrong with having kinky, coily, or tightly textured hair. Our texture shouldn’t be used as a negative description of yours.

Let’s be more mindful of the language we use when talking about textured hair. All textures are beautiful and deserving of respect. 🤎#houstonhairstylist #explorepage #houstonhair #houstoncurlycut by @embraceyourglamour2
