Behind every inclusive classroom is an educator who keeps learning.

That’s why we’re always looking for new ways to support teachers with tools and resources they can bring back to their students.

Celebrating 20 years of Coexistence Clubs! 🎉

Since students at Riverview High School first stepped up as peer docents, the program has grown into eight clubs where students lead tours, volunteer at EOD events and strengthen their school communities.

In 2025–2026 alone, 258 students reached more than 9,237 young visitors.

We’re especially grateful to Dena Sturm, EOD’s first Coexistence Club advisor at Riverview, whose continued mentorship and commitment have helped shape generations of student leaders and one of EOD’s most enduring education programs. by @embracingourdifferences

Welcome to our 2026-2027 Education Ambassadors! 🎉

On Tuesday, October 6, we kicked off this year’s program with 29 educators from Sarasota and Manatee counties who are committed to building belonging, kindness, respect, and inclusion in their school communities.

As one ambassador shared, “I want my students to know that their voices, cultures, languages, and experiences matter.”

Help us give them a warm welcome in the comments! 👏 by @embracingourdifferences

A work of art can do more than show a student’s creativity. It can give that student a voice. 🎨

That idea is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re thrilled to share that Gulf Coast Community Foundation has awarded Embracing Our Differences a $50,000 Empowering Arts Grant.

This generous support helps us continue our year-round arts education programs and our annual outdoor exhibition, where students and educators use art to explore kindness, respect and inclusion and discover the value of their own creative voices.

Thank you, Gulf Coast Community Foundation, for believing in the power of student art! by @embracingourdifferences

We miss exhibition season!

The parks feel a little quieter without our art, but we’re already dreaming about what’s ahead. Exhibition season is coming back soon, and we can’t wait to share what’s in store.

👀 Stay tuned. by @embracingourdifferences

Some classrooms don't fit inside four walls. 🚌 Educators can actually see their students come back from our field trips with a deeper understanding of art and of each other.
