Jenna & Jan — Ocean House Rhode Island Sept 6, 2026

a little bit of this please and thank you! by @emilyfigurelliphotography

Hard to believe it’s already been a year since these two said “I do”! This was such an amazing day! ✨
I love looking back through the photos and reflecting on all the magic. Ben and Lyric made my job easy, they were just so fun. They knew what they wanted, had a great eye for detail and their designs just came right together. No detail spared and I loved every second of it. And I also love when the photographer captures the first moment the couple sees their reception space, it is just so special!! Giving them time to take it all in before their guests get to see, highly recommend a reception space reveal!

Our design process will always starts with what the venue already gives you. here that meant the ocean view, a sailcloth tent, and hardwood floors we didn’t want to cover.

From there we learn the couple’s palette and vision, and every choice after that gets filtered through one question: does this complement the venue or compete with it?

Florals stayed white and green to give coastal without covering the tent’s shape, rentals kept the hardwood visible and the head table lit with moss and taper candles instead of florals. The lighting and stationery, paper lanterns, taper candles, seashell menus, tied the whole room back to where you actually are.

None of it happened in one big decision. it happened piece by piece, with the venue as the starting point every single time and with an amazing vendor team and bride to get us here!
