I was with the wrong person for nearly 10 years, it’s NEVER too late to stop the wedding.

The longer I stayed in the relationship the more I felt I had to stay because I’d given so much of my time to it. Every anniversary I would make a point of how long we’d been together like it was a medal??? (Lol) I remember that was the only thing I was thinking about every year, that was the only reason I stayed in it for as long as I did… sunk cost fallacy is real.

It wasn’t that I just woke up one and morning and changed my mind, this was something that ate away at me (unknowingly) for years. I would always got anxious around them, not knowing how they’d act which I knew wasn’t normal but it was all I’d known in a relationship. I was always comparing the relationship to others and didn’t understand why I wasn’t happy like they were.

Deep down I knew I didn’t want to be with that person but it took one of my best friends to ask, if I was happy in the relationship, for everything to change. I will never forget that day, I felt like a weight off my shoulders when I made that decision.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that my eating disorder lasted the whole relationship, pictures speak a thousand words… ❤️‍🩹 by @emma_d_fitness

A 5:30am start and in bed for 1am, turns out my hearing aid charge can’t last 19 hours 🥲 by @emma_d_fitness

I thought we were just here for a good time ✌🏼🥲 by @emma_d_fitness

I wish I wasn’t hearing impaired but I can’t change that, so I’m doing my best to get the positives out of it and embracing it

Not many people wear hearing aid jewellery so I guess that’s cool 🦻🏼🌟

s/o to @deafmetalcommunity for adding some sparkle to disabilities ✨

4 years of FUN 🤩🫶🏼

There’s always something to learn or improve and my mind needs that

A lot of tears and frustration along the way but I’ve never regretted starting CrossFit, it’s such a rewarding sport and the community is like no other 🫶🏼

Tried many grips over the years and @elyttraining top them all 🙌🏼 link in bio 🔗 code EMMA
