Last band camp ever is…over!

Ft. Aidan and the unc squad by @emmakshadle

Junior year ✅ First year at Pitt ✅

This semester, I legislated for a day, performed in the NFL draft and two symphonic band concerts, built cribs for kids, picked up trash in South Oakland, ran an unofficial food blog, joined the Honors College and the Elsie Hillman Civic Forum, completed mental health certification and tree tender training, finished OCC and HOCC, and started studying for my LSAT, while attending all of my classes.

I am so grateful to my friends and family for supporting me in my journey at the University of Pittsburgh and I can’t wait to do it all again next year. Hail to Pitt! by @emmakshadle

Did you guys know that I go to Pitt now?? H2P 🎷4L💙💛 by @emmakshadle

Happy Flail, it is my favorite season 🍁 by @emmakshadle

Besides going on The Icon of the Seas and Bradford Band Camp, I had an extremely eventful summer! I turned 20, interned for my local congressman, and simultaneously working as a dishwasher. My sister graduated from high school. I spent lots of time volunteering at Bailey’s Cat Haven and helping my grandma manage her brood of cats. Here are some of my favorite pictures from my volunteer work. I’ve never been so busy in my life!! by @emmakshadle

I always suspected blue and gold were my real colors. 💙💛

Here are some pics from away band camp at Pitt Bradford. I can’t wait for the upcoming season! by @emmakshadle

Ladies and Gentlemen, the rumors are true: I AM the Icon of the Seas 🌟🏖️🛳️

This post is over a month late because I had a solid 4 days off for the entirety of July and I spent ALL of them replaying BOTW 🤓. Also stay tuned for summer pics part two!! by @emmakshadle

I LOVE MIAMI, such a beautiful country! I’m going to buy a convertible and stay here forever!! 🌅🌴 by @emmakshadle

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” -A.A. Wilne

This semester has brought with it the most challenges of my life, but persevering led me to finding more inner strength and courage to follow my dreams than I could have hoped for. I am grateful to my beloved friends at Cal who supported me in all my endeavors and who I will surely be back to visit - but now, I am ready to take on the University of Pittsburgh main campus to continue my journey towards earning my bachelor’s degree. I am stronger than I have ever been.

Swipe to go back in time…and for a surprise! ❤️🖤 by @emmakshadle

This semester has been even more indescribable than the two before it. From making friends with Syd’s weiner (and the most awesome roomies), to getting to see Hamilton, to driving all the way out to moon township to see my high school marching band, I have made the most amazing friends and memories during the first half of my sophomore year. I’ll miss being in the Vulcan Marching Band!! 🫡❤️🖤 by @emmakshadle

From learning how to play and march bari sax to navigating a house with six roommates, this was by far the most chaotic band camp of my life. And yet, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m grateful to all of the new and old people in my life, and I’m so excited for the upcoming season! Let’s go Vulcans!! ❤️🖤🎷 by @emmakshadle

It was my birfday! Also swipe to see the fattest squirrel I've ever seen 🌟 by @emmakshadle
