Good times we’re had this past weekend at @mississippiculture and @midwesternmainst Big thanks to all the lovely humans who came to hear me play and cheered for my guitar solos! I think the highlights of my night were 1. All of YOU singing I Hate Myself For Loving You with me and being a great rhythm section during the drum break 😜 2. Thé Nice older gentleman who told me I really, “understand the old music,” (roots and blues). My heart is so warm ❤️
My wrist is healing up nicely. I’m still under doctor’s orders not to play too fast and to watch how much I vibrato and no barre chords that bend my wrist too much (like 90 percent of them 😂 (guitar player jargon blah blah) and of course, to stretch and ice on my breaks. by @emmanobbemusic

Gloria was an absolute trailblazer. The life I’m living and the opportunities and choices I get to have as a woman are made possible in part by her and many other feminists who have fought to secure rights and a better future for women and girls. I’m so grateful and also deeply saddened that she’s gone. The world needs Gloria Steinem and her message now more than ever.
“Any woman who chooses to behave like a full human being should be warned that the armies of the status quo will treat her as something of a dirty joke. That’s their natural and first weapon. She will need her sisterhood.” - Gloria Steinem
