POSTS STORIES REELS

Kids have a way of showing us what a wedding really feels like. While the rest of us are caught up in the big moments, they’re busy discovering joy in the little ones. They huddle up in secret circles, wrestle on the lawn, give silly looks that make everyone laugh, and spin in dresses until they collapse on the grass.

Those are the memories I love to notice. The messy and magical pieces of a wedding day that remind us this isn’t just about a timeline or the perfect detail, but about love spilling over in every direction.

That’s why having a photographer who sees those in–between moments matters. The giggles under the table, the wide–eyed awe during vows, the chaos and sweetness that children bring… they’re reminders of what weddings are truly about. Love alive, in its purest form. by @emmashaneheim

Sarah Kate & Matthew
The most relaxed and sweet bride, marrying the most fun groom!!! It was full of slow timelines, yummy food, laughter, and amazing music. You guys love your people well and we all love you so much. Honored to be a part of this team that got to document the best day ever.

It wasn’t what Lauren & Andrew planned as hurricane Isaias brought lots of rain and it was still perfect. We danced in the rain, had a cozy dinner, and danced the night way.

Kinda chic for nature to interrupt your day and get you even closer to all the people you love.

Lauren & Andrew forever :)

A few photos from Kole & Dustin’s perfect day in Rochester 🤍

A couple who love each other, and loved hosting their people. Just so so good. My absolute favorite 🤍

I waited intentionally for the film to come back, it was SO hard and I’m truly so thankful I did. Madhuwani & Aditya’s day was full of joy, color, and love and gosh what a gift to give a piece of it back to them. It was my hugest honor to be invited into their beautiful day, into tradition, and into their beginning of the next chapter.

Can’t wait to share the rest. This was insanely hard to choose just a few.

Two posts in one day? Who am I!!

I sort of felt like it was time to put my face back around because there are a lot of new faces here as well as so many new exciting bookings!

My name is Emma Shane, and if I had to wrap up how I feel about being photographer in three points, this is how it would go:

• It feels like the biggest privilege to get to tell your story and celebrate with you. I love my people.
• I believe that telling the story involves many cameras: film, digital, all the things; and it’s my joy to capture it as it goes with the mediums I have. I tell my couples, sort of like a painter wouldn’t use one size paint brush.. I don’t use one camera :)
•I am here for you. I love what you love, who you love, and it’s my extreme joy to come alongside you in that through your wedding season.

Everything else? I’m an open book.. maybe to a fault, but thank you for being here. Thank you for following along and to all my past and future couples. THANK YOU! I love love love love love YOU.

Xoxo,
ES

Ps. Thank you to my girl @karawarrenphoto for snapping this while working together :) by @emmashaneheim

Clare + Tommy // August 15th, 2026

The most beautiful day in Portsmouth.. overflowing with color, joy, sentiment, and so much goodness.

Clare & Tommy, something I deeply admire about you is your heart for preserving goodness. You love your people so intentionally, and watching you care for everyone around you so deeply was something I’ll carry with me.

The photographs say it better than a caption ever could.
Cheers to the Jordans for loving their people so well and creating a day that was a beautiful reflection of it. 🤍

Back to sharing the beauty I get to witness. 🤍
Starting with the details.

And a little side note about something I care a lot about: who I bring alongside me.

I hand-pick every second shooter I work with, because I want someone who not only makes beautiful images, but who sees the day through a similar creative lens.

Rachel and I dreamed these images up together, bounced ideas off each other, and got to create a little magic because we just get each other creatively.

Who your photographer chooses isn’t just an extra camera. They’re another set of eyes, another perspective, and another person helping tell the story of your day.

So when I choose who stands beside me, I choose very intentionally. 🤍

I think you’re incredible @rweberphoto

Putting final touches on the most beautiful elopement and it’s just surreal that I work with such beautiful people, in their most beautiful moments.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

One of my favorite frames from Bailey & Sam’s courthouse elopement headed into backyard celebration!!!

It was so hard to pick just ten of Hannah & Luke’s magical day at Cheekwood, but I gave it my best try. What a gift of a day in June celebrating their beautiful story, that was written so intentionally.

Cheers to the Gotwalds, I am so honored to have celebrated with you!!!

The best day ever… LEXI & CARTER!!!!

There are so many things I want to say, I love these two so much. What started as a simple disco phone call turned us into family. We spent time in NYC together, it was joy being able to finally celebrate them last weekend. Lexi and Carter are people you love, know, and treasure with all your heart!!! More to come on their beautiful day!!
