Another BIG milestone for Parker! 🙌❤️

He has officially been cleared to ditch his neck brace! And that’s not all! We’re celebrating a growing pile of medical supplies he no longer needs! Swipe right to see his brace free exit from the Wexner!

Neck brace? ✅
AFOs? ✅
Circulation hose? ✅
Abdominal binder? ✅
Waterproof shower brace? ✅

As I wheeled him down the hallway, I asked, “How does it feel to have the wind in your neck?! 😂 Does it feel freeing?”

He smiled and said, “Yes!”

And perhaps most exciting of all… water is FINALLY hitting his neck in the shower! 😂🚿 YAY!

Oh, the things we never imagined celebrating! Each piece represents another step forward, another little piece of independence, another answered prayer. ❤️

And while these milestones are worth celebrating, so are the memories he’s getting to make along the way!

A senior and a freshman. ❤️ Two of our babies getting to celebrate Homecoming together! 🥹

Parker and Gianna looked so grown-up, so handsome and beautiful, and so did their dates, Kirsten and Luke!

One celebrating his last high school Homecoming and the other just beginning her high school memories.

Seven weeks ago, we didn’t know if Parker would even be home in time for Homecoming.

But God is good! 🙏

Seeing them dressed up, smiling, and making memories with their friends was such a gift!

Of course, the evening came with emotions. I know Parker would have preferred to be up dancing with Kirsten and his friends, and my heart aches for what he’s missing. But these kids are AMAZING! They danced around him, laughed with him, and made sure he was included. ❤️ Those are the friends we should all hope to have!

The photos begin with Homecoming, and the last photos show him and that beautiful pile of medical equipment he’s leaving behind! One week, so many reasons to celebrate!

Thank you for continuing to pray for our boy and our family! ❤️🙏
