Every brand starts somewhere. Ours started with a question: why is finding eyewear that fits so much harder for some people than others? After years of working in optical stores, I began noticing a gap in the industry. Too many people were having to compromise on comfort, fit or personal style. That realization took me from Montreal to Oyonnax, France, to study the craft of eyewear making and eventually build something of my own. Emotional Armor was born from the belief that eyewear should do more than fit your face. It should reflect who you are. We're here to challenge conventions, rethink fit and create bold, thoughtfully handcrafted eyewear for outliers. This is just the beginning. - Omar, Founder & Designer of Emotional Armor Eyewear. #madeincanada #toronto #Montreal #IndependentEyewear by @emotional.armor
Made for people that don't fit the one-size -fits-all mold, Emotional Armor eyewear creates impactful eyewear that sits exactly where it should. Made by hand in our atelier, we design with POC facial features in mind, assuring impeccable fit for anyone. Inspired by the distinct shapes and shades from the 60s to 80s, we bring out the best of dramatic silhouettes paired with vibrant colours. Each frame is made-to-order and crafted entirely in our Montreal atelier, from the hand tinting process and cutting of the lenses to the entire frame. By controlling the entire fabrication process, we assure precise fit, and strict quality inspection while avoiding unnecessary waste. This makes each frame exclusive, with limited quantities available for each model. Photos by @noah.jmtt by @emotional.armor

SHADE: day-party edition ft. @frndlyrmndrs captured through @aruarian.star 📸 by @emotional.armor
So we had the crazy idea of turning the atelier into a day-party with @frndlyrmndrs ...Time has flown by so much since we've opened the atelier last August that I completely forgot that it has been 1 year already. When I first got the keys to our space, it has been my dream to host these types of events to bring people together and to shed light behind the secretive world of eyewear fabrication. I'm eternally grateful that since we opened, after this event, we've had over 150 guests come through and create moments and memories in our space. Thank you for sharing your curiosity, smiles, laughter, dancing, and hearts with us. -Omar (founder/designer) 📸 @dapper_tl by @emotional.armor
I had the chance to discover how a pair of glasses is actually made at @emotional.armor from the first piece of acetate to the finished frame. Seeing every step up close made me realize just how much precision, time and craftsmanship goes into creating a single pair. And honestly, this is exactly why I love doing what I do with this account: not just showing you a nice product, but taking you behind the scenes and sharing what really goes into making it. I feel like that’s where I can bring something a little more meaningful 😊 by @emotional.armor
