Help a sista out… Sign up for a sewing workshop! A few spots left on the skirt and outdoor barrel pant workshops! I’ll be releasing more soon! #sewingclass #bayareaactivites #sewingworkshop #bayareasewing by @emtrang.makes
My first month of retirement consisted of workshops, travel, buying tons of fabric and hauling it back to the US, washing and ironing said fabrics, and just figuring out my new routines! Eternally grateful the God has blessed me in this new journey and to have been given this great sewing community! I’m excited to see what’s in store and to continue to grow from here! Hope you’ll follow along!! 🤗 . . #selfemployed #startingabusiness #sewing #bayareabusiness by @emtrang.makes

Recently took my outdoor barrel pants (a highly requested workshop to repeat!) for a spin at Crater Lake! It was rainy, snowy, and much colder than expected, but we had a great time! 🤩 I love this fabric so much I definitely plan to make a jacket out of it! My Size: XS My Husband’s Size: XL (for oversized fit) Pattern: Juliette Barrel Pants by @chricrafts.studio Fabric: Crinkled DWR Nylon Taslan by @yardbloxfabrics #outdooroutfits #craterlake #barrelpant #hikingoutfit #sewing by @emtrang.makes
Inspired by @andrew.won to take her out for a spin in the wild! My husband and I always have allergies or just the need for tissues, so I wanted to make refillable tissue pouches! I thought it was a ✨ perfect ✨ tiny project for my tiny machine, so I brought my Singer 20 to the @snowpeakcampfield during Labor Day weekend! I had a blast making it and it was a relatively quick project on the machine! 🤭 I made the bag from the @corefabrics Bowler Free Sewing Pattern and just modified the sizing a tiny bit. I wanted to make a bag that fits this machine, but can also be used day to day as well! As a side note, the Campfield was such a wonderful stay! We booked the site where they set everything up for us, so we could just arrive and get cooking! They also have a spa area you can enjoy, which was nice after our long 12 hour drive up from SF (would fly next time cuz help my back 😩). I hope to be back!! Testing your attention span on this one! Here’s the whole process of cleaning and fixing my Singer 20! I was nervous to take her apart, but turns out it’s super straightforward mechanics! I’m ready to bring her everywhere!! #sewingmachinemaintenance #singer20 #minisewingmachine #sewingasmr by @emtrang.makes
✨ I still have some open spots on my alteration workshops! Come join the class to fix up your own clothes! You can hem your pants/shirts, take in something, fix a hole, or anything (within reason lol). I’ve had some people be able to hem 3 pairs of pants during this class!! Picked up this cutie patootie from EBay!! I’m obsessed!!!! Give me 100 more!! I need to quickly clean her up and get her running! Wondering what is a simple project I can sew with her 🤔 #singer20 #minisewingmachine #vintagesewingmachine by @emtrang.makes
I had such a hard time deciding what style dress to make with the silk because it felt like such precious fabric! I ended up going for the halter tie style, which I still have mixed feelings about, but was too indecisive to do anything else! I wore it to a friend’s wedding which had a gorgeous view of the Golden Gate Bridge behind me! 😍 What do you guys think of the final dress? ✨ Obsessed with little kid pants!! 👖 If you’ve been wanting to make your own, sign up for one of my next workshops!
