Good old PID controller.

If you’re new to controls or modeling and simulation and would like to learn more, check out the link in my bio or comment “controls.”

As a student, I didn’t even know model-based systems engineering was a thing.

Years later, working as a model-based systems engineer, I wish I’d understood earlier the importance of systems engineering concepts and projects that help you see how different parts of a multidisciplinary system interact. I stumbled into it through AIAA and Formula SAE.

Dr. Gökçin Çınar shares her advice 👆🏼 I truly loved learning from her and connecting over our shared passion for engineering and learning.

‼️Visit her software page for open-source projects, www.gokcincinar.com, or comment “MBSE” for the link to her page and my project guides. by @engineersteatime

Here is a list of sites I wish I knew about before my senior design project in undergrad and that have been incredibly helpful throughout my master’s and beyond:

1️⃣ Hugging Face
AI models, datasets, computer vision, robotics tools

2️⃣ Kaggle
Real datasets for ML, aerospace, climate, healthcare, energy projects

3️⃣ GitHub
Open-source engineering projects, codebases, simulations, APIs

4️⃣ Onshape
Cloud CAD for collaborative hardware/mechanical projects

5️⃣ MATLAB Simulink Examples (MATLAB site)
Controls, robotics, dynamic systems, signal processing examples

6️⃣ NASA Open Source
Aerospace software, simulations, navigation, mission tools

7️⃣ Arduino Project Hub
Embedded systems, sensors, automation, robotics builds

8️⃣ GrabCAD
CAD assemblies, mechanisms, engineering design inspiration

9️⃣ ROS (Robot Operating System)
Robotics software ecosystem used in industry and research

🔟 Google Colab
Free cloud coding for AI, Python, simulations, and data analysis

‼️if you don’t have a link to my full list of resources yet comment “resource” and I will send you a link.

Every person has a different path… mine wasn’t straight and most people’s aren’t.
There’s no rule book… and just because something worked for someone else doesn’t mean it will work for you.

Find what’s best for you and what actually supports you getting closer to your goals.

If you don’t have my resources yet for project ideas + guidance, comment “resource” and I’ll send you the link.
