Promoter Frank Warren issued an update on the condition of Limerick super lightweight Lee Reeves last night.
“My team have been in touch with Lee Reeves team and he is making progress. That is what we’re hearing and thank the Lord for that,” Warren said.
“With Lee it’s all about time. Time hopefully can be a healer.”
He also said of Reeves: “It is just about time. That is what it is and we keep praying they will be okay... and that Lee gets back to his family as soon as possible.”
Lee’s former coach and well known Irish coach @jonathan_o_brien_champscamplz started a GoFund me to help Lee’s recovery.

Hard to verbalise the feelings and emotions around this - overwhelming sadness & a knowledge that Irish boxing will never be the same again. Gratitude & love for a fella who it was a real privilege to call a friend.
A champion in every sense of the word - a fighter to the bitter end. Sleep well John….🙏❤️

449 lives were lost to suicide in the last 12 months. 359 (80%) of those were men. Additionally 12,661 people were hospitalised for self harming. 1 in 6 of these were repeat attendees.
Regardless of who you are or what you do.
YOU MATTER, YOU ARE LOVED
- as the words in this beautiful song say
“No matter how much you are hurting right now,
You know that everything will change in time”.

Please just reach out & talk to somebody, anybody ❤️

The song is by the incredible @foyvance and performed by top Irish band @theelectrix
