“Escrituras de mi Cuerpo Cuando Dios Invita Una Tormenta” “Escrituras de mi Cuerpo Cuando Dios Invita una Tormenta" by Vicente Daniel Ledesma serves as a meditation of how the body stores and navigates inheritance and memory through one’s culture, and personal and communal experiences. The exhibition presents Ledesma’s visual works alongside a selection of their literary efforts, drawing parallels and highlighting the ways these discrete practices reflect on spirituality, collective healing, and the mundane. Want to give a big thank you to @isuofficialcontact for reaching out to me to “christen” their newly configured ISU Gallery residing within/alongside the New World Gallery. It was a great pleasure to be able to command the space and to work alongside people extremely receptive to the ideas I had for this show. “Escrituras de mi Cuerpo Cuando Dios Invita una Tormenta” is up till November 7th, this week, there’s still a chance to catch the show, and keep a lookout for following shows to be exhibited in the ISU Gallery! by @entry.no.1

TAKING INVENTORY, FRIDAY 7/3 @ 7-10pm Taking Inventory, an art show organized by Vicente Ledesma, centers the idea of taking inventory of oneself. Highlighting artists local to, and from the Miami area, the show frames works exhibited around what has one stored of experiences, relationships, and environments when moving through life. How does one individually store such experiences? What is taken when reflecting on such through memory and the physicality of objects? Does one keep what is here and build upon it, or make space for more moving forward? “I’M TIRED OF BEING THE BIGGER PERSON, BUT I HAVE TOO MUCH LOVE IN MY HEART TO ADD TO THE CRUELNESS OF THIS WORLD, AND WE HAVE BIGGER FISH TO FRY SO LET ME FIND PEACE WITH YOU” (2024-2025) *this a repost with just the most minuscule change to the poem. Want to just reiterate what I had said when I first shared this poem onto here that poetry is a big part of my practice that I love to share. Poems acting as literary portraits that remain in conversation with my visual work. Either that poems come out of my visual work, or visual work comes out of my poems, or they aid each other in the process. Will be sharing more of them on here along with much more! by @entry.no.1
