👀SNEAK PEAK: EOA Architects, Kimley Horn and Metro Parks and have been working hard on the designs for the new West Park Community Center. They shared a few sneak peaks of the plans with me. Swipe to view ➡️

This new community center will be bigger and better than our old one. It will be what Metro Parks calls a Regional Facility. Our old community center was classified as a “Neighborhood Facility”.

Regional Facilities are larger than Neighborhood Facilities and include walking tracks, fitness centers and sometimes pools. Pools are dependent on several factors including site size and design specs.

The initial renderings of the new West Park Community Center include:
🏊‍♂️ Swimming Pool: 6-lane, indoor swimming pool
👟 Walking Track: Indoor, upstairs, walking track
💃 Movement Room: Used for group exercise programming (yoga, dance, etc)
🏀 High School Competition Size Court: Striped to allow basketball, volleyball, pickleball and more
👋 Community / Event Room: Available to rent/reserve for community events
🏋️‍♀️ Fitness Center: Equipped with exercise machines and weights

Want to see more? Join myself, Councilwoman Brenda Gadd and EOA architects at at West Park After Dark (a family-friendly Halloween Event) TOMORROW NIGHT! EOA will be showcasing these renderings and other never before seen.
🗓️Friday, October 30
⏰6:00-8:00 PM (CM Gadd & I will be there from 6:00 - 7:00 PM)
📍West Park (Go to the EOA Architect Booth to view renderings)
😬Can’t make it? Don’t fret. Metro Parks will be hosting community meetings over the coming months to gather more input and share information. Make sure you’re following them online @nashville_parks

Important Note: These are preliminary plans, meaning they are not final and subject to change. Metro Parks, the architects and engineers will be revising and refining them over the coming months.

Excited to announce that Chamberlain House was a finalist for the Nashville Business Journal’s inaugural Best Real Estate Deals awards. Congratulation to all of the finalists and winners this year!

Chamberlain House is a vibrant new residential destination spanning two city blocks near downtown Nashville. Anchoring this exciting mixed-use vision is Phase I: a thoughtfully designed 345-unit multifamily community at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Stockyard.

Surrounded by key urban corridors and lush greenway connections, Chamberlain House is positioned at a highly active, walkable intersection. The leasing office welcomes residents and visitors at the corner of the Music City Greenway and 2nd Avenue, while the clubroom, fitness center, and courtyard spill out along the Greenway, tapping into the energy of this major pedestrian route as it winds toward the Cumberland River Greenway. As part of the project, these greenways were enhanced and revitalized to create a richer, more connected outdoor experience

Catch a special exhibit at the Tennessee State Museum!
As the United States commemorates its 250th anniversary, Tennessee Voices, American Stories explores how individual Tennesseans have connected with and contributed to the creation and development of the nation.

The exhibit features three areas centered on key concepts from the preamble to the United States Constitution: “We the People,” “A More Perfect Union,” and “The Blessings of Liberty.” Each area includes artifacts and stories related to remarkable people who helped to build Tennessee and the United States.

Catch this wonderful exhibit through January 3, 2027.

Congratulations to EOA Principal Tracey Ford in being accepted into the 2026-2027 class of Leadership Nashville. This nine-month independent executive program will be the organization’s 50th cohort.

Forty-six participants were chosen from over 300 applications. Alumni and the public nominate established leaders who are willing to devote time to an in-depth study of Metro Nashville Davidson County. The course will begin in September and focuses on issues related to government and media, diversity, business, education, quality of life, health, arts and entertainment, and public safety.

Evette White, executive director of the program, said the key to Leadership Nashville’s success over the past 50 years is the diverse leadership experience of its participants.

Tracey joins a distinguished group of EOA alumni, including Gary Everton and Sheila Dial Barton. Congratulations, Tracey! by @eoaarchitects

Honored to be recognized for our design of Emblem Park by @aiatennessee! Emblem Park is a mixed-use residential community that serves as a connector between the Chestnut Hill and Wedgewood Houston neighborhoods in Nashville.

As noted by the jury, “This large multifamily development demonstrates the importance of design at multiple scales. The jury admired how the project creates identity through massing, materiality, and the integration of existing structures. The adaptive reuse component is especially compelling, serving both as design inspiration and as a reminder that new development can build meaning from what is already there. The project successfully balances density, memory, and neighborhood transition.”

This project was a collaboration with @someraroad and our friends at @manuelzeitlinarchitects.
