The Werehorse 🐺

As I was walking through my city I decided to visit the wolves around dusk. I didn't think I'd see one, since they're masters of hide and disguise. I've, however, happened to notice one in the far trees, laying down, moving its ears around to catch the sounds of the awakening night. The sun had fallen and I was walking back home through the warm-hued trees. Then I heard the wolves howl. Could this furry horse creature be among them?

Who could possibly encounter Lycan at full moon? 🐺

I couldn't resist painting this beautiful were-horse from @starstableonline and I cannot wait to show you how this story continues!!!!! 🦇 Took me quite a while, but I am an avid stopmotion animation enjoyer 😎 drawing frame-by-frame

I got SO EXCITED when I saw Lycan in the first halloween trailer of this year 🤩 Enjoy these sketches I made + some colour variation for this were-horse. You know what's my favourite thing about him? The howling animation! SSO team really put their effort into this spooky horse. I like how they leaned into the "skinwalker" creepy "ugly" version of werewolves instead of a glamorous wolf creature.

Unfortunately sickness hit me hard this autumn and I was completely exhausted and didn't even turn the PC on so I had a little break from making art here... BUT I AM BACK! 🐺

THE outfit from the 2010s is ready 😎
What was the most iconic outfit of Your back in those days?

Since it's around that time when Star Stable would give us Fashion Show (Fashion Week?) at the Jorvik City Mall, I've decided to do this fashionsy comics 😅 And yes, to be honest, horses are the main reason why I played this horsie game in the first place, therefore there'll be more horse stuff soon! 🐎

This SSO nostalgia comic also exists mainly because of #backtooldsso hosted by @antonella_shadowstar which made me travel back in time!

@starstableonline by @equestrimary

Look who I've met at the Fashion Show in Jorvik this week! Naturally, I couldn't miss the greatest style icons like supermodel Jessica, best designer around Jorvik Franziska Ironsaddle, and last but not least, the girl that wears pink not only on Wednesdays - Loretta. Who did I miss?

...I had SO MUCH FUN painting all this! Do you catch the reference? Do you remember the fashion show at the mall? Can you see who's rapping in the back? Honestly while I was painting this I realized how much of an ICON Franziska is, since I kept reading her name on clothes and then once we got this in-game event, we finally got to MEET the diva 💅🏻 who's behind all this!

Thankyou, @antonella_shadowstar for hosting #backtooldsso and igniting this creative spirit that allows me to rediscover old memories in the game! @starstableonline

Show me YOUR best outfits in the comments! ...or comment an NPC that should MOST DEFINITELY be captured at the Fashion Show 👠

When it's time to go #backtooldsso (thankyou, @antonella_shadowstar !) there's a need to postpone whatever activity one was in the middle of, even when you're a cowgirl 🐮 🐎

You might've noticed that I've paused my western comic for nostalgic SSO posts and I might do this for a couple of more posts before there'll be Pt. 3 of my western comic! Enjoy this little unexpected twist and take on the "bts" of the making of it 😅

... because everything that has horses, is what counts, right?
Gotta celebrate the horses!

One of the most memorable questlines for me would be saving Anne, in Jorvik and Pandoria. I love how throughout the story, we get to meet her precious horse, Concorde, who reincarnated as a mare in this timeline, and grows up to become Anne's trusty steed.

LAVERNA 💜 The horse that once captured my heart in Galloper's Keep! For the 15 Years of magic I was thinking which horse or NPC should I paint, and since I'm primarily a 'horse' artist I've decided to paint *HER* ! I chose Laverna since not only is she a unique horse model with those interesting horns, her colours also reminds me of those feelings and hues I associate with Star Stable Online *from back in the day*. It's been truly a pleasure experiencing what SSO has become over the years! I enjoy every single stage although they all somewhat vary 💜 @starstableonline

"I'll find you, in every lifetime" -or generation. I fell in LOVE with the Tinkers when they first came out in 2014. I loved their soft looking noses and bulky build. A couple years later, on @starstableonline's 10th birthday, they've blessed us with this beautiful soul steed (who I've named Soulgem 💜) who resembles my favourite Gen1 horse so much! I've decided to paint them together for #sso15yearsofhorses 🐈‍⬛

Happy #sso15 ! To many more years of amazing horses!

What's YOUR favourite Gen 1 horse breed/particular horse? 👀 Do you have a "comparable couple" like this one?

The Ice Witch of Isendell (Icendell) ❄️

In this Dino Valley comic episode, you won't believe what Mary discovered in the fiercely looking ice cave! 👀 Is Katja, the ice witch, playing with fire? Or rather... drakonium? I'd absolutely LOVE to hear what you've got to say about this &share your craziest Icendell theories!! 💜

I wanted to include old-school Katja as a part of @antonella_shadowstar 's #backtooldsso event! Lore inaccurate? Perhaps... and perhaps not? I absolutely LOVED exploring the mysteries of the permanently frozen valley back in the day! 🦖

#sso15 #15yearsofstarstable @starstableonline Star Stable Online - Happy Birthday! I absolutely loved the old school Fjord horses and also Katja's design 🤩 Low-key would love a follow-up of the quests in Dino! Perhaps more Kallters? Perhaps more magic and mystery?

..Which Dark rider/character should Mary meet next? by @equestrimary

⏳ It's 2015 and Mary discovers the Kallters and their cold-tolerant steed. Did you know the OG Fjord Horses were available with FULL KALLTER TACK - AND - trained ALL THE WAY to LEVEL 10? ❄️ EXCITING ✨

Now that's what I call (snow) princess treatment. (Swipe to see the individual drawings + a nostalgic surprise in the end)

Now that @starstableonline is celebrating their #SSO15, I've been overflowing with nostalgia, to the years and years of memories I've collected in this beautiful, everchanging horse game (that is also the reason I picked up a digital pen for the first time in 2016). #15yearsofstarstable

The legendary @antonella_shadowstar greatly ignited my nostalgia with her fun event! In combination with Star Stable Online's 15th bday, prompted me to dig back into old memories and paint something fun to share with you! #backtooldsso

🎂 This on many more years to come! (And more nostalgia-induced posts from me 🙏🏻)
