9/28/26 Round # 15. Three left. Today my regimen was supposed to change from Kadcyla infusion to a 2-in-1 perjeta & herceptin injection shot but my oncology team sent wrong med type for insurance approval and I had the infusions separately via IV thru my chest port. Side effects are kicking in.

I haven't really posted much lately, mainly because it's so hard to be reminded every time there is a reply posted. I guess I never thought I'd have cancer (let alone 3 of them) and have to go thru so much hell with surgeries, chemo and everything else that comes with this. I've lost 98 lbs. I've been battling lymphadema in my entire left arm and hand. I lost use of my left hand starting in June and by July I can no longer open or close it. Fingers won't move. There's also terrible burning neuropathy pain in all my fingers and toes. Insurance maxed out my PT/OT visits so they are all out of pocket as I desperately try to hold onto my part time job working for the best boss anyone could ever ask for. I absolutely love my job and cannot ever remember feeling this way about any I've had in my life. ( Well.... except for the barber shop in Randolph!). There's never a downside. Unheard of these days.
I'd much rather forget the past 15 months and leave it behind. It has taught me so much and opened my eyes for sure. God has surely made a way for me along every part of this journey and continues to do so.

PLEASE don't tell me I'm a warrior- or I'm strong. Truth is- I'm not. It's been God this whole time. This awful disease is just dragging me along through all that must be done, but God makes sure I don't have to do it alone. 🙏🏻. A simple "thinking of you" or smiley face emoji is more than enough. Hopefully the end of November will be my last treatment. 🩷
