We are pleased to introduce Erica Menna, @ericamenna.art is a self-taught sculptural and mixed media artist whose work is rooted in minimalism, form, and emotion.

Her creative path has been shaped by curiosity and experimentation. What began as exploration across landscapes, still life, and abstract painting gradually evolved into a focused dedication to sculpture and textured works. Today, her practice centers on creating pieces that feel grounded, timeless, and architecturally present.

Working with materials such as joint compound, plaster, and resin, Erica creates dimensional compositions that balance structure and fluidity. Tactility is central to her process — every ridge, curve, and surface is carefully formed to invite both visual and emotional engagement. Her works transform walls into sculptural landscapes, where refinement meets raw, organic energy.

Her journey into sculpture began just three years ago, marked by intense experimentation and perseverance. Through trial and error — adjusting materials, refining layering techniques, mastering finishes — she developed a signature approach that merges precision with intuition. Resin became a pivotal element in her evolution, introducing luminosity and depth while preserving the integrity of texture beneath the surface. The result is work that is not only seen, but deeply felt.

Inspired by nature — especially beaches and mountains — Erica is drawn to the quiet strength of organic forms. She observes how light interacts with texture, how structure holds both softness and resilience, and translates these subtleties into minimal yet impactful compositions.

For Erica, style evolves alongside experience. Her practice remains an open exploration of material, form, and emotion — each phase reflecting growth, adaptation, and a continual willingness to push her creative boundaries.

We are honored to share Erica Menna’s sculptural vision with our community — a body of work where texture becomes language and form becomes feeling. by @ericamenna.art

A little piece of Monterey Bay, forever captured in art.

I’ve always had a love for beaches. The textures, the colours, and the little details that make every shoreline unique.

During my recent visit to Monterey Bay, I found myself wanting to bring a little piece of that experience back to the studio. For this piece, I incorporated sand collected from the beach itself, allowing a part of that landscape to become part of the artwork.

There’s something special about incorporating natural elements into my work, especially when they hold a memory of a place I’ve visited and loved.

A little bit of the beach, a little bit of memory, and a whole lot of inspiration. 🥰

My favourite part of the process 💙.

#abstractart #sculptures #3dart #torontoartist #interiordesign by @ericamenna.art

The sculpting is only half the process. 💁🏻‍♀️

Priming is one of those steps that might not look particularly exciting, but it plays an important role in the final result.

It helps create a more uniform surface, improves paint adhesion, and helps prevent uneven paint absorption especially when working with porous materials like joint compound.

Skipping the prep work can affect how your paint looks and how evenly it applies. And when you’ve spent hours creating your sculpture, those finishing details matter.

This is also why I believe in learning the entire process, not just the fun parts.

In my Base to Beauty: Creating 3D Sculptural Wall Art course, I walk you through the process of creating your own dimensional sculptures, from building the form to the finishing details.

If you’ve been wanting to try sculptural art but aren’t sure where to start, I’ve broken the process down into step-by-step video lessons so you can learn at your own pace.

Remember when Instagram was just… Instagram? 🥹

When we could post a single picture, throw on a Valencia filter for good measure, and call it a day. No reels, no hooks, no trending audio, no trying to figure out what the algorithm wanted from us.

Just pictures, little life updates, and scrolling through your friends’ lives.

Bring back the days when posting wasn’t a strategy. It was just sharing. 📸

Welcome to my creative world. 🌊

Currently working on a new piece inspired by Monterey, California. It’s coastal landscapes and the natural textures that stay with you long after you’ve left.

A little piece of my travels, reimagined through art. 🤍
