Miss you dad ❤️ Semper Fi… to know my dad is to know the second picture is very much him 😂 my grumpy pants by @erinbreanne497

I don’t usually share things like this publicly because I tend to keep this part of my life private, but today my heart is broken.

My dad had been sick for many years, and alongside everything else in life, I had the privilege of being one of his caregivers. For some reason, something told me not to go to work today and instead spend the day at the hospital with him. I’m so grateful I listened, because my dad passed away within minutes of me being there, while I was holding his hand.

My dad was a Vietnam veteran, a father, a grandpa, and my grumpy old man. He could be stubborn, tough, and very much himself, and I will miss him more than words can say.

Thank you to my mom and my husband for helping me care for him, especially during the times I couldn’t be there. Your love and support meant more than you will ever know, and I will always be grateful.

I love you, Dad. You can rest easy now. by @erinbreanne497
