“why do you fly?”
i fly high whenever i’m with these girls (and a select amount of boys that were permitted to be near us).

i came a little late into this process, and though i was already friends with a lot of the cast and crew, i was so nervous that i wouldn’t fit in. but of course, a few rehearsals in and i had made new friends for life, and solidified my previous lifelong friendships further. you all welcomed me with open arms into the world you had already created, and i’m beyond privileged to have had this experience. every one of you holds a huge place in my heart.

will i miss dragging that giant box around the precarious corners every day? no. will i miss doing “push-ups”? not really. will i miss every other moment? more than you can believe. i do not have enough words to describe how funny, kind, warm, and wonderful this group is. i will miss seeing you all every day, but i have full faith this a group that will not just separate and let go. so until then, Sayanora my Flying Wreck Yankee Doodle Hot Pilots ❤️

Wait Until Dark: After Dark

just a SMALL capture of the shenanigans happening backstage by @eringracefoster

Wait Until Dark closed, and this is one of the hardest show closings i’ve ever had. this has been the most challenging role i’ve ever had (almost 400 lines, acting blind, being onstage almost the whole show, lots of stage combat, etc.), and it’s also one of the most cherished. playing Suzy has been the honor of a lifetime, and i’m so so sad it’s over

even more than the show itself, the people involved are everything to me. i went into the show with my amazing partner (who played my husband!), 2 of my best friends, and many other lifelong friends. i also got to meet some amazing new people who have brought me such immense joy during this process. i feel like i’ve never had so much fun during a show. i am going to miss everyone SO much.

but most of ALL, i will miss singing Japeth’s song from Hoodwinked. DID I???? by @eringracefoster

Christmas Carol 2025 i already miss you so much. i’m going to miss the amazing new friends i’ve made and longtime friends i got to share this show with. let’s do it again yeah? by @eringracefoster

it’s 3 years together with my best friend, and this year is extra special because it comes with a story!:

3 years ago, I was in A Christmas Carol for the first time. I had known Carson for a while, but we had only recently started talking again since we had both moved out of Richmond and back to our hometowns. The first time I was going to see him again since moving was because he was visiting me to see me in said Christmas Carol.

The night he came, I was backstage in the dressing room when @jogirl135 comes in and says, “does anyone have a boyfriend or something here? There’s a guy here with a huge bouquet of flowers” I went back to playing on my phone because I knew I DIDN’T have a boyfriend here…but as all the other women said it wasn’t for them, I started to think, wait….no way….could it be?? so I asked Jo what he looked like.

she said, “plaid jacket” check….

“sitting center” check…

“shaggy hair” check. (although this was only true at the time)

I immediately blushed, realizing it was indeed Carson, who I had been head over heels for since I met him in Richmond. and anyone who knows me from growing up knows that was very unlike me!

Then, after my big duet about lost love (a theme that especially affected Carson), he gave me a SOLO standing ovation. anyone who knows theatre “etiquette” knows this is very rare, and VERY bold :’). plus, I didn’t find out that he had done so until I got offstage, because my back was to him at the end of the song.

a few days later, we started dating :)

now we’re in this special show TOGETHER, 3 years later. it has been so amazing and precious to see the full circle that’s happened, and to get to share it with Carson. i love you, bépé. happy 3 years!!! by @eringracefoster

no one gives a friendlier “hello there!” 🎶

being in A Christmas Carol again 3 years later has been magical. many wonderful similarities, but a LOT of beautiful new things too :)

only 5 of the same actors from the original, 2 of which are taking on new roles (including yours truly). double the amount of kids due to double casting, a new incredible SM and 2 new lovely ASMs, a new base costume for me, a new pregnancy belly!! so much to love about this COMPLETELY SOLD OUT SHOW THAT RUNS FOR FIVE WEEKS!! crazy stuff! and we’re only about to start week 2! by @eringracefoster
