Very excited this morning as one of my prints was included in @pressingmattersmag out of London! I was so excited for this opportunity and feel honored to be included in their publication with such an incredible group of printmakers. This was an epic print at 4’ x 4’ hand drawn, 5 color silkscreen printed @highpointprints in Minneapolis when I was a co-op member there. The amazing @savannahbustillo helped me print this beast and it’s so exciting to see her on glossy pages!!!!! 🧡💙🩵 Thank you so much!!!!! @lovelandmuseum @visitloveland @denverartmuseum @denverartslist @denverlifemagazine @denverbotanic by @erinleonprintmaker

Such an amazing day with a few of the NCPC peeps! We took a spin down to Denver to check out @mixedgrit Gregory Santos’ new printmaking cooperative space. It was so well organized and such a great vibe from everyone!!! I love the camaraderie of Northern Colorado’s printmakers 🔥🧙‍♂️ #printmakersofinstagram #printmaking #mixedgrit #nocoprintmakerscollective @nocoprintmakerscollective @nycgps also dope mural by @obeygiant in Rino!! by @erinleonprintmaker

Had so much fun learning #tetrapak #tetrapackprintmaking with @printmakingloveland today with The NCPC crew. I’m loving this fun and economical printmaking process. So easy and rewarding. Made this little #intaglioprint of my father when he was a little boy. I think it’s not actually finished yet and looking forward to pushing the boundaries on this #printmaking process!!! @revealprintstudio @nocoprintmakerscollective #nocoprintmakerscollective by @erinleonprintmaker

CUSP at Petrichor Collective is a salon style gathering for visual Artists to share work, dialogue and constructive feedback in an effort to aid in progression/growth of the visual process.

The name, CUSP, reflects the moment in the creative process when an Artist hesitates at a threshold, perhaps needing feedback in order to see new possibilities emerge.

While we approach the evening with intention and respect for the creative process, the salon is also meant to be enjoyable. A space to learn, exchange ideas, and celebrate one another’s work. It’s a thoughtful yet lively gathering that uplifts Artists and strengthens our community through conversation and camaraderie.

This is a photo of me with my silkscreen print “Sacred Garden (for Sally)”. It was my last print at Highpoint before my move to Colorado. I love this photo. There is something about the printmaking process that when you finally finish a print, there’s a sense of relief. Because of the layered process, you often are not exactly sure how a print will turn out. I wanted this print to be beautiful. This is a very special print for me from a place that I discovered by myself. It’s magical to me like the person that was dedicated to. I keep thinking about Sally Gordon and the Printshop. When I first walked into Highpoint, I heard her headphones first. Looking over, I saw the back of her white, majestic hair. Somehow she heard me trying to walk by behind her. She had been sitting at the tables drawing incessantly on a lithograph stone. She turned to me with the biggest smile, not even knowing who I was, and immediately welcomed me. It was just past Covid and we were all still wearing masks, but her eyes beamed and I felt a warmth that many people are not able to provide. I felt immediately welcomed by her and I’ll never forget it. My best friend was magic like Sally. I miss my best friend, Catey, so much. I miss Sally so much. Is it fair to say there are magic people? People that make everyone feel good? And that in our lives these people are truly sacred. However brief they are part of your life the energy that they bring is so impactful that they always seem with you even when they have gone? #printmaking #magic #transcendence #sacredgarden #silkscreen #possibilities #newbeginings #love #art #thebeautifulone by @erinleonprintmaker
