november tbr + their opening lines🍂🌜🌧️

and just like that, november is here! october absolutely flew by and we are back with another tbr stack. i am a huge mood reader and so i rarely stick to these, but when i selected this month’s books i picked ones i reallyyyy wanted to get through before the christmas books begin✨

i have already started the heirs, so we are off to a good start lol ♟️also all of my tbr for nov seems to be a pretty sprayed edge edition so i’m hoping that will encourage me to pick them up hehe

weekly diaries: w/c halloween!🧛🏻‍♀️🕸️🖤

this was such a fun week filled with so many activities! i’ve never done a pumpkin patch in the dark before and it was so cool, i can’t even tell you how many pumpkins were there🎃 a solid reading week, with finishing my last halloween read and then finally started one of my most anticipated! my boyfriend also baked a halloween themed pie and i spent lots of cosy evenings with all the halloween decs. actual halloween day consisted of a day at yalc and then coraline in the evening 🕸️🪡

i hope everyone had a lovely week and hello november!👻🌟

october reading wrap up!🌙🧛🏻‍♀️📖✨

i’ll be honest at the start of the month when i was only on the second CC book i was fearing i wasn’t going to get any spooky reads in …. but i managed three!👻 one thing about my reading pattern is that i am gonna be reading books that match the season and so im super happy i got to read some spooky season themed books <3

also a pretty good month ratings wise and nothing below a 3🌟! my top read was HOFAS but an honourable mention to hidden pictures because it was so creepy and truly got me in the halloween spirit!

happy halloween-eve🧛🏻‍♀️🎃✨

welcome to my weekly diary🤍✨🌙

inspired by the gorgeous @_libraryofjessica i thought this was such a fun & whimsy way to pack my bookish weeks into one! we are going to pretend it is in fact not already wednesday and that this should have gone up a few days ago … we can blame acosh

this lovely week (last week oops) consisted of visiting my first pumpkin patch of the season, going to a gig and finished/picking up new books! i feel way more ready for halloween after picking my pumpkins and reading spooky books, i can’t believe it’s rolled round so quickly!

other things i’ve been loving this week too:

• madison beer - ive been playing her new and older albums on repeat and i just will forever love her music and ive been reminded of some absolute bangers
• the traitors - obvs!! this is one of the few tv shows i will actually sit and watch every episode
• cinnamon bun iced lattes - i bought myself a syrup and have become a master at my coffee machine at home, many have been consumed

hope everyone is having a lovely week so far📖🫶🏻✨

i’ve only gone and ticked off grim tidings before halloween is over!🖤🏹🪽

this was such a fun, feel-good, funny and heartwarming book, twined with supernatural elements and a lil sprinkle of whimsy✨ aka the perfect read in between fantasy and for spooky week!

i ended up tabbing so much of this book because the humour and wit kept cracking me up, i wanted to remember those specific conversations between darcy and gabriel, i enjoyed this one and also loveddd the little good spirits easter eggs throughout 👻

the attention to detail is beyond gorgeous, especially with the recipe on the front + back and also the sprayed edge is such stunning, definitely one of my favourites i’ve ever received!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
wow, what a journey these books are. if i look back to reading the first book compared to the last, i had absolutely NO idea where this series was heading and the way this world and the characters developed on these pages will forever stay in my mind. all three somehow felt completely like their own story but were perfectly interconnected with each other to seamlessly keep the city in this story alive and real. house of earth and blood gave me the perfect intro and kept me guessing after every chapter, fully gasping out loud on the train reading it. house of sky and breath ventured into some more characters that were less present in hoeab and was dropping twists and turns at all times, and lets not even talkkkk about that ending…iykyk. house of flame and shadow was so bittersweet - it was heartbreaking at times and things were happening that i didnt want to happen but was also heartwarming and really brought out the depth in a lot of characters. the way this one started as well just had me absolutely locked IN. i just loved it. i feel like i could have highlighted and annotated all three books from start to finish, but i have added some fave quotes that i did highlight along the way🌟📖 p.s i thought my nyota star was perfect for this👀

let me know if you have read this and what your thoughts were💭⚔️🦌🏰
