The Playhouse community is heartbroken by the news that BREAKING BAD actor RJ Mitte passed away this week at the age of 34. We were honored to welcome RJ to the Playhouse earlier this year for a special screening of director Christian Nilsson’s new film WESTHAMPTON, in which he played a supporting role, as part of the @reelabilitiesny Film Festival. He was a kind, charming, and inspiring presence who spent the evening meeting our audiences and offering up lovely insights from his early successes. Our condolences go out to his many friends and family. Thank you, RJ, for sharing your story with us. taken in Southampton Playhouse by @southamptonplayhouse

This summer, the Playhouse came alive with the Odyssey on IMAX, special screenings, filmmaker conversations, artist appearances and community gatherings making for an unforgettable experience.

To everyone who stepped through the doors, filled the courtyard, brought the family, supported a program, shared in conversation or joined for the first time to see a movie, thank you for making this summer extraordinary.

Thank you to the Playhouse Crew!

It was a privilege to host Belle Burden at the Playhouse in conversation with Perri Peltz about her first book, STRANGERS.

Their thoughtful, candid conversation was a powerful reminder of how women can lift themselves and one another through life’s most challenging moments.

Belle shared her story with openness and grace. I can’t wait to hear about her next project.

What an extraordinary experience celebrating the Playhouse through a bespoke work of art by Jeff Koons. Bold, joyful, and completely unexpected, the artwork captures the excitement and creative spirit of the Playhouse. We are deeply grateful to Jeff Koons and his team for making this moment so original, memorable and uniquely Playhouse.

We had a memorable Monday at the Playhouse hosting our local chefs and their hardworking teams for an advance screening of TONY.

Meaningful to welcome those who are so often behind the scenes and bringing joy to others. We are deeply grateful for all they do throughout the year.

Thank you to @A24 and colleagues @SouthamptonPlayhouse for making this special evening possible!

An unforgettable experience we launched our new Playhouse Parlor series with an extraordinary conversation featuring Maggie Haberman, hosted by Perri Peltz and Dr. Samantha Boardman.

It was the perfect way to begin a series dedicated to meaningful conversations with today’s leading voices.
