Also, sorry I’ve been MIA! I started my doctorate program last September and have been swamped! I’ll be back to stitching more soon enough! This teaching experience will be great on my resume as I continue! 🥰 by @essentricstitches

Huge thank you to Turtlebelly on Etsy for the custom Catwoman frame (and free comic) to go with my Catwoman cross stitch! I screamed loudly when I opened the package. 🤩🤩🤩 words can’t describe how happy I am. by @essentricstitches

Been a while! I was still crafting as usual. I decided to make som old t shirts into hand sewn decorative pillows! 😛 #falloutboy #bowlingforsoup by @essentricstitches

I had a conversation with my father a few weeks ago to see if anyone in my family was once a quilter because I’ve been wanting to start it. I got most of my sewing skills from my mom (and camp and when they offered home ec in schools). I learned that my great grandmother named Margaret was a quilter who made everyone their own quilt at some point using old clothes. Those quilts are no longer in existence, but it’s nice to know why I might’ve been feeling this urge. Once I communicated it to my friends @seawitch97 and @kmowww they immediately supported this and was so happy for me. With that, they decided to get me quilting materials as a late Christmas gift to get me started. This is probably one of my fave gifts I ever received. I’m so excited to put them yo use and show y’all the quilts I create. Get you friends that invest in your craft! 🤎🤎🤎 #quilting #blackquilter #blackquilters by @essentricstitches

Purchased this today and have no idea what patterns would look good on it. Anyone have any ideas? 🥹 by @essentricstitches

Decided to put another pattern into rotation! I’ll finish this one by the end of December. It’s gonna be so sexxxxyyyy and scandaloussssss🤩😏 by @essentricstitches

Okay everyone I’m at peace now. 🤭 The fabric was delivered today! I left work just to go open it. Please look at this custom dyed fabric from @blackdahliafabrics that I’m obsessed with. The name?! AGHGHH. I’m stitching an assassin in case you were wondering. 🧡🔪🗡️⚔️ I’m soooooooooooo excited. by @essentricstitches

I’m upset…I was gonna start on my new project tonight and was so excited but apparently usps couldn’t deliver because the “business” was closed…they have a key and we aren’t a business😞😞😞💔💔💔 by @essentricstitches

Please let me know! I’ll need it to be pretty huge. I’m thinking maybe a 24x24…pretty reasonably priced. Also down to trade! 😆

Edit: why did no one tell me this uploaded so crunchy??? 😭😭😭 by @essentricstitches

Finally finished my Catwoman cross stitch! 💋
