@projectobscura.sg is the President’s Volunteerism & Philantrophy Awards 2026, Communities of Good (Groundup) Award Winner✨!

To think that this journey started from a random catch up lunch with @k14renz during our army days … we were throwing around ideas for volunteering and somehow the dream to photograph professionally for underprivileged and unseen communities was born between three alumni from @eunoiajc!

4 years later, @raxh_flipflop and I run @projectobscura.sg practically full time (indeed law school feels like my side hustle, truly non-profit founder first lawyer second OR lawyer first non-profit founder second ikyk🤣), I mean @projectobscura.sg is our baby after all! To be fair, we now have many new Obscura subcommittees (the first of which was started in @sgsmu) so that makes us proud grandparents or super seniors as some juniors would call us (I’m 23 not 32 guys)…

This award belongs to all of our amazing volunteers, for without you we could have never come this far! Thank you all for showing up tirelessly for shoots and for believing in what @projectobscura.sg does.

Also, a big thank you to all our partners and friends that we’ve have met along the way, you know who you are! Your support and encouragement means the world to us.

The PVPA is just the beginning for @projectobscura.sg, we will continue to capture and preserve memories for all. As long as there are stories and memories to photograph, I am certain we will keep showing up 😎✌️!
