Meet the Author.

Hello everyone, my name is Etta Lane. I am paying tribute to my own and my husbands middle names with the pen name. 🩵
I currently live in Alabama with my Active Duty husband, our daughter, and our dog.
My joys in life come from mountains and being outdoors, game nights with friends, family adventures and finding dogs to pet wherever I go.
It is my dream to write books that make people happy and that I can be proud of.
Thank you for following along as I wing my way through life.

🖤🩵 introduce yourself, I love new book friends!

Wanderland Series by Etta Lane
Wandering Closer: Book one
“Lily:
After leaving everything behind, I thought the quiet of a small mountain town would be the perfect place to start over. As an author, solitude is all I’ve known, and I’m finally starting to feel at home. But then I meet Thoren James—a rugged park ranger with a protective nature and a heart of gold. Along with his loyal dog, Shadow, he offers me a sense of security I didn’t know I needed.

For the first time, I’m starting to believe that I could build a life here. But when ghosts from my past threaten, I realize that healing isn’t as simple as leaving everything behind. Thoren’s strength and the love of this small town are all that stands between me and the chaos I thought I’d escaped. Can I trust that the peace I’ve found is real, or will my past destroy everything I’ve come to love?

Thoren:
The mountains are my home, and my loyal dog, Shadow, has been my best friend since my last relationship. But when I met Lily, something shifted. There’s a softness in her that calls to me, and I want nothing more than to protect her from the world. She’s been through more than I can imagine, and the walls she’s built around herself are so high I wonder if she’ll ever let anyone in.

But I know what it’s like to carry scars—both visible and hidden—and I’m not about to let her face this alone. As we grow closer, I begin to see a future with her, one I didn’t think was possible. Yet, the more I care for her, the more I see I have to help her face the demons in her past.

I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe, even if it means confronting my own fears and letting her see the real me. Because in this small town, I’m not just falling for her—I’m falling for the life we could build together. And nothing is going to take that from me.“

@ettalane.author wonders: What is it that makes an author an auto-buy author?

Her episode releases today and you can listen anywhere you love to hear your podcasts.

Etta Lane is a small town romance author and when she's not writing swoon worthy books that will probably make you cry, you can find her outside.

She's a small town girl at heart, preferring a slower pace to life, no traffic, a good cup of coffee and time in the sun. Whether that's hiking in the mountains or swimming at the beach, or even working in the garden, she's not too picky.

Huge thank you to Etta Lane for joining me for this week’s author Q&A!

Etta is the face behind the successful Wanderland romance series. Four books, four couples and so many ways that they will make you laugh, make you cry, make you swoon, and make you root for happy endings. The most recent instalment in the series was released in May of this year - ‘Wandering Home’ - a small town, slow-burn with black cat vs golden retriever vibes 😍.

But what sparks the inspiration behind a romance series like this? What tropes to writers love and hate? Who would authors want to play their characters in a movie?? I ask all the questions you want to know!! 🫶

If you haven’t read the Wanderland series already, then I definitely recommend you take a look!! 💖

I hope you loved this week’s Q&A , don’t forget to come back next week for another great author!

In this episode, we’re joined by spicy romance author Etta Lane to chat about her latest book, Wandering Home. We discuss how a small town in Washington was the inspiration for the town in the series, how she plotted out all four books, the songs that really align with River, how writing the final book in the series was the hardest for numerous reasons, what she plans to write next, and whether we see some of River’s teammates pop up in the future.
