Little Round Top at Gettysburg. The spot where Colonel Joshua Chamberlain earned the medal of honor while in command of the 20th Maine. After holding out against repeated attacks from the 4th and 15th Alabama, the 20th Maine was out of ammo. Chamberlain ordered them to fix bayonets and led the charge down the hill, catching the confederates by surprise and saving the Union Army. by @eugenehawkins11
Gettysburg (1993) is one of the most influential movies I watched growing up. I still remember what it felt like when mom told me it was a true story. I instantly had to learn more. Ever since that moment, it has been my dream to visit the battlefield. This movie solidified my love for history and showed me the power of film to tell people's stories by @eugenehawkins11
