Oh Alpha Kappa Alpha, Could words encapsulate the impact you have had on my life? Never in a million years. To be in the room finally with women of such power and influence. I definitely shied away from your call. Scared of rejection, denial, and disappointment. But fear is not a quality Alpha Women hold, and shedding its grasp freed my soul for your purpose. Through Thee, I am tasked to serve all mankind. To Thee 43 K.K.I. Thank you for all you’ve done to support me. A greater blessing could not be found than 42 of the most talented women I could meet. Happy 2nd AKAversary to the prettiest sisters on this side of the world. To Thee 37 I.V.I.E.S. Let the Gamma Nu Light blaze in your hearts. You all are creative, talented, passionate, and capable. Excel beyond your wildest dreams and do it in the name of our founders. To My Kur8tor Better hands could not have been picked. I leave you my position as Secretary and Step and Stroll Master. Our bound was predestined and will transcend time. Always in my footsteps do I see that little girl I taught everything but I think our time together has finally concluded little sis, I have no more to show you. Continue to be the best part of me and an even greater Alpha Woman then any before you. Center stage has always been for you, and now you’ll need a brand new backstage crew. I know that I have left you in 36 pairs of capable hands. SiΓΝing Out - Kollector’s Item #19 Spring 22 by @evanleiylah
“Structure defines Purpose” A saying I have heard plenty. The structure of a molecule can key you to the purpose of its existence. An error in structure halts the ability and functionality of a molecule. As a biochemistry major I have struggled. I wanted to run away at every point with nothing but my classmates holding me in place. 4 years ago I lived a life without structure. Easily gliding through high school could in no way could have prepared me for the rigor of my chosen path. No structure is secure without support. So thank you to everyone involved with the Clalfin University Chemistry Department and all my classmates for the support. Step by step I found Structure and eventually discovered my purpose. I leave this campus with Honors, 2 completed research projects, and 10 research presentations. by @evanleiylah
To The Hilltop, Nothing could have prepared me to depart your halls and leave such impactful bonds behind. I know I have met some of the brightest minds of our generation. The culture of my hbCU is like no other and topped by none. To attend a top 10 HBCU and graduate debt free is a privilege that Claflin sought to offer ME, a shy quiet girl from many miles away. Dr. Greene called me, asking what I wanted for my future, and instead of offering the world, she offered me a path. A path to walk and shape and tidy all my own. The exposure, skills, and opportunities I have gained were all blessings. I graduate knowing I have been sharpened to conquer my future. From the Paw to the Patio of our new Student Center may the ghosts of my memories uplift me on dark days and ground me through turbulent storms. May we all be Leal and Loyal, To thy memory 🐾 by @evanleiylah
