POSTS STORIES REELS

Before AI made us question every image we see, I was already obsessed with a similar question: how much of what we call reality is actually real?

CONVERGE> FORBES × EXME
Designed for Human Expansion
Tulum, Mexico

A few years ago in Tulum, I collaborated with @forbesmexico on CONVERGE: Designed for Human Expansion, a project exploring perception, consciousness, technology and our ability to reshape the way we experience reality.

At the center of this piece was MIND HACK, a sculpture I created as a perceptual device: mirror, light, water, reflections and an LED screen projecting words and affirmations into the space. The work played with the boundary between what we see, what we believe, and what we unconsciously absorb.

Everything was produced locally in Tulum, combining technology with local materials and fabrication. Long before generative AI became part of our everyday visual language, I was interested in creating physical environments that could distort perception and make reality feel slightly unstable.

Looking back at this project now feels strangely relevant.

If reality is partly constructed by perception, how much of it can we consciously redesign?

Introducing my latest design: a complete red room concept with two Negroni fountains and a mirrored ceiling.

It was designed and built in just three days, with a very limited budget. The space feels intense, playful, provocative and immersive, and that was always the intention.
This project was created for Veleta Market and Obra, my fav place in the world, where I allow myself to experiment freely, trust intuition and let ideas take form without overthinking them.
Very happy with the process, the energy and what’s starting to emerge. More to come.

La Feria and I started working together over ten years ago. We redesigned the club, created countless projects, and built a bond that goes far beyond work. This stage for Carl Cox is another chapter in everything we’ve been building together. by @exme.exme

I arrived on the island knowing very few people, with a lot of curiosity about what could happen.

In a way, it was a little experiment in personal freedom. Testing my own magnetism, my ability to connect, navigate unfamiliar places, meet new people, and explore different versions of myself.

A few months of dressing up, dancing for hours, laughing, making unexpected friendships, finding inspiration in random places, and collecting stories that sometimes felt completely surreal.

After so many years working in nightlife and entertainment, I’m still fascinated by the world behind it all. The music, the stage design, the creative minds, the production, and the people who bring it all to life.

And one thing I particularly love about this chapter of my life is finding my own balance within it.

Plenty of late nights and definitely not enough sleep, but also daily sauna and ice baths, training, sunshine, nature, and all the little rituals that keep me feeling good.

I’ve learned to embrace nightlife on my own terms: staying sober, dancing for hours, and having the best time without compromising the healthy lifestyle I’ve built for myself. These two worlds don’t have to be opposites.

Ibiza is intense, unpredictable, and has an energy that’s hard to explain. Not everything was perfect, of course. There were challenging moments too, but that’s part of the experience.

I left with beautiful new friendships, a few ideas for future sculptures, some ridiculous stories, and the feeling that I’d lived an entire year in just a couple of months.

More than anything, I loved having the freedom to explore who I am when nobody knows my story yet.

Same me, just a little more room to play. by @exme.exme

I designed this over 10 years ago.
At the time, nothing really looked like this.
It pushed everyone a little outside their comfort zone.

Instead of saying “that’s too complicated,” they said: “Let’s figure it out.”

We spent weeks refining the shape, testing proportions, printing custom gradients directly onto the fabric and solving one detail at a time.

Looking back, I don’t just see a sofa.

I see the beginning of my design studio, the people who trusted my ideas, and a project that somehow still feels current.

Should I bring it back?

<Club La Feria × Perfo Studio × Pepsi>
