Some beginnings do not look like beginnings when they happen.
Mine looked like a woman in red visiting me in my dreams and telling me: “Come know me more.”

Three years later, I am still answering.
Today, on the first day of Navratri, I published the first reflection in “Choosing the Path”, a nine-part series on devotion, identity, and becoming.

“I’ve seen this before” is not the same thing as “I know how this ends.” I’ve been exploring the space between those two thoughts. Our past can make us remarkably good at recognizing patterns, and sometimes we’re right. But recognizing a familiar pattern doesn’t necessarily mean we have to give it the same meaning, play the same role, or arrive at the same ending.

My newest Field Note explores trauma, pattern recognition, radical accountability, memory, and what it might actually mean to rewrite our story without pretending the past happened differently.

Most of us weren’t taught how to actually feel.
So we learned to avoid it. Suppress it.
Overanalyze it. Try to control it.
Not because something is wrong with us,
but because we have been conditione to respond this way.
But your emotions aren’t something to fix.
When you stop fighting what you feel, something begins to shift.
You don’t need to judge or avoid it, just allow it, and notice it.
You are not the emotion, you are experiencing it. by @expandingessence

You’re not failing. You’re repeating.
What feels like “stuck” is often a pattern playing out in real time, in your reactions, your thoughts, your relationships.
Not because something is wrong with you,
but because your system learned a way to respond.
Awareness is where things begin to shift.
You don’t have to force or fix anything. Just notice.
If this resonates, what’s one pattern you’ve started to notice? by @expandingessence

I help people notice their patterns, reconnect with what matters most to them, and move forward more consciously. Through 1:1 coaching conversations, we clarify goals, build motivation, and create sustainable strategies for meaningful change in any area of their life. Softening is subtle.
It is a loosening; A slight release of resistance.
It often arrives quietly—through a breath, through a moment of honesty, through a willingness to stop pretending for a moment. And in that gentle opening, gratitude finds its doorway.
Softening isn’t the end of the emotion. It’s the beginning of understanding.
Next week i’ll be offering my 7 day digital gratitude journal, Root & Rise, in honor of my official website launch - stay tuned for more info!

Awareness is the bridge between what we see and what we feel.
When awareness expands, thankfulness arises — not because life changes,
but because we begin to see what’s always been here.
Every ordinary moment holds something sacred for the one who’s willing to notice.
The more aware we become, the more thankful we are.
Stay tuned for a special gift next week. 🌸

We don’t find gratitude — we remember it.
When we stop searching for what’s missing,
we begin to feel the quiet fullness beneath it all.
Gratitude doesn’t require effort —
it only asks that we notice.
Each breath is a reminder that wholeness is already here,
waiting to be seen.
Stay tuned - something beautiful is unfolding soon. 🌸
