✨ A little introduction… ✨

Hi, I’m Ashley! 🤍

I’ve been dancing since I was 5 years old and choreographing since I was 18, although I’ve taken a hiatus for the last 10 years. Dance has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and over the years, it’s become so much more than movement to music.

My areas of expertise include contemporary, modern abstract, and tap. I love exploring movement as a form of storytelling, self-expression, and emotional release.

I believe dance is healing. It’s a space to feel, to let go, to process, and to express the things words sometimes can’t. You don’t have to be perfect, and you don’t have to have it all figured out. Just show up, move, and feel. 🖤

Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just looking for a new way to express yourself, there’s a place for you here.

✨ Come dance with me. Let’s feel something, create something, and heal through movement together. ✨

Three years ago, I was fighting to survive. Today, I’m learning what it means to truly live again. 🤍

Domestic violence changed how I felt in my body and experienced the world. Through therapy, dance, and community, I’m slowly finding my way back to myself.

Dance has helped me rebuild trust in my body, reclaim my joy, and feel free again. Healing isn’t linear, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come and grateful to feel peace, passion, and connection again.

I feel so lucky I was given the opportunity to tell my story through this piece of choreography and share it with community who helped me find myself again 💜

This my story. Told through my Choreography. Told by myself and my community. by @express_with_ash

💜 My heart is so full. 💜

Thank you to every single dancer who showed up for my first contemporary class in AZ. Thank you for trusting me, showing up with open hearts, and allowing me to share a piece of myself with you. You made this experience more meaningful than I could have ever imagined.

Together, we raised over $300 for a local domestic violence organization @dv.ctrlaltdel 🫶🏼 Knowing that we were able to turn movement, healing, and passion into something that gives back to our community makes this experience even more special.

And that last photo… that’s me taking it all in. 🥹 Watching all of you tell my story through movement was a moment I will never forget. It was a moment of realizing just how far I’ve come, honoring the healing I’ve done, and recognizing that I’ve reclaimed my story. Through the thing I love most, dance, I got to watch my story come to life through your bodies, your emotions, and your interpretations. You gave me the opportunity to see my journey through a new lens, and I can’t put into words what that meant to me.

There was a time when my story held so much pain. Now, I get to tell it through my passion, my healing, and my art. And because of all of you, I got to witness that healing in a way I never could have imagined.

Thank you for being part of something so personal, so powerful, and so beautiful. Thank you for dancing with me, feeling with me, being vulnerable with me and helping me turn pain into purpose. This is why I believe dance is healing through movement. 💜

This is only the beginning. ✨

To all DV survivors, we are with you 🦋

Special thank you to @annaurenadancer at @almaradance for hosting my first class, cultivating such a safe space and donating all your proceeds to the community as well 💜 I am honored to know you, dance with you and create with you!

💜 COME DANCE WITH ME! 💜

Choreo by me ✨

What’s funny is I thought this would be the last time I danced or choreographed in my life. Little Ashley was so naive 😬 So thankful I reconnected with dance and so excited to explore Choreography again 🩷 by @express_with_ash

Past Choreography ✨

Just ask my dancers and they’d all tell you one thing. Get in your fifis (feelings)

I never expected perfection. What I wanted was story telling. For my dancers to connect to the song and the movement and tell a story.

Looking forward to creating more opportunities for expression 🩷 by @express_with_ash
