Birds birds birds…gotta have lots of blue birds of happiness flapping about!
Come and find them on the @fabricatecapetown window and pop in and say hi. They also have such a great selection of local South African designer products (I always spend way too much money there).

I had the privilege of doing a window display one of my favourite subjects, BIRDS for @fabricatecapetown today and I haven’t had this much fun in a long time! Thank you for inviting me to play on your window!!

I’m beginning to realise my flowers, aren’t flowers. They’re bold statements of self. They’re unapologetic, courageous individuals. I guess that’s partly why people are buying them as gifts for Mother’s Day. When I make these artworks, I love how the hard lines merge into delicious soft shapes - the process is seductive; and then, how the flower gradually materialises. There is new stock at @fabricatecapetown, FYI. Which one do you want, and where will you hang it? by @fabricatecapetown

It’s Mother’s Day this Sunday, so I asked three moms what they would love from our shop.

The first selection is from Shakeera, you may have met her in our store! She’s a mom to a one-year-old.

The second is from my mom! Fabricate is a family business so of course I had to ask our mom, Nasima, what she would choose. She’s been our OG customer since we opened and our biggest supporter. Thanks mom 🥺

And lastly, I asked our family friend Danielle: she has two boys who keep her incredibly busy, all while working as a clinical researcher and doctor 😅

Know a mom who deserves a treat? Come visit us in store, we’re here to help you find something as special 🤍 by @fabricatecapetown
