@3.8.5.studio passed the mic to @fabriq_gallery - I loved meeting Maya. I found her passion for supporting local artists and creating a community here is SE London really inspiring. Check out @aaron.mighty.design exhibiting at the gallery right now.

If you are a local artist then get in touch with @fabriq_gallery to exhibit in this cool space nestled in a Brockley laundrette.

Maya lists some local galleries that we should check out and has passed the mic to @out.house.gallery - so can’t wait to meet you guys.

Opening this weekend! AFTER THE DELUGE is a new exhibition of paintings by Ellen Rose inspired by ancient flood mythology spanning thousands of years of literature, culture and geographies. Ellen is curious about the stories that survive, the lessons and warnings we choose to collect and pass on. In today’s world we are witnessing the change in our weather patterns, warming oceans, rising sea levels, droughts and floods. The flood myth of our past has become an omen for our future. This painting series traverses themes of grief, spirituality, transformation and ritual, balancing hope with precarity and exploring human responsibility within our fragile ecological landscape.

Stephen captures a strange and special moment which won’t occur again in England until 2081, more than 50 years from now.

The eclipse created an incredible energy in the city, somehow calling us to confront our fleeting time on Earth, recognise the beauty and mystery of the universe and rejoice in a shared human experience.

AVES FEMINAE by Pascale Queval

“Aves Feminae” is an immersive exhibition by multi-disciplinary artist and storyteller Pascale Queval aka @lobsterbarbie . Her “Bird Women” live in the depths of the tropical jungle, protected by thick vegetation from our world of war, ecological catastrophe and growing isolation.
.
Since childhood, creating fictional realms has been a way for Pascale to escape the tensions of everyday life and examine the human condition through a different perspective. With a degree in set design from ENSAD (Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs) in Paris, she works in three dimensions to create spaces similar to theater stages which invite the viewer in.

Immerse in the world of Aves Feminae at FABRIQ Gallery until Sunday 4th October 🦚 by @fabriq_gallery

'Aves Feminae' artist Pascale Queval uses mixed media and foraged materials to create imaginary worlds: Setting the scene is a painted paravent built from recycled wood and stretched with hand-woven antique sheets. An illuminated nest constructed from vines fills the space. In the nest sit Barbie dolls transformed into Aves Feminae using tissue paper, cardboard and acrylic paint, their markings inspired by the Woodpecker and Hoopoe. In the window a Barbie-based Aves Feminae specimen is on display in a handmade, Victorian-style case. By using a variety of media, Queval gives the viewer many entrypoints into this rich, multidimensional world. by @fabriq_gallery
