It’s hard to put into words what this game has meant to me. Basketball has been my whole life for as long as I can remember. It was a bittersweet journey. One that stretched me, challenged me, and grew me in ways I didn’t understand at the time.

But God.

Every doubt, every lesson, every moment, every victory, every loss; He was still working. Even when I couldn’t see where He was leading me, He was already making a way. I knew God called me to Bethel, and looking back now, I see that His plan was always greater than mine.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

This game gave me more than I could ever put into words: relationships, memories, and people who changed my life forever.

To the high school coaches who believed in me, especially the ones who are no longer earth side … thank you 🕊️. And to the ones still here, thank you for shaping me into more than just a player.

To my dad/my coach, thank you for always believing in me, for pushing me when I didn’t think I had more to give, and for never letting me settle.

And to my Bethel coaches, thank you for leading with faith and for challenging me to grow not just as a player, but as a person.

I’m walking away from the game, but not from what it built in me.

If you’re in a season where you don’t understand what God is doing…trust Him anyway. He’s writing something bigger than you can see.
