Meet the Artist | Faith Roberts @faithsarchivess Faith Roberts is a multidisciplinary artist and photographer whose creative spark comes from capturing the essence of the people around her. Guided by curiosity and human stories, she creates work that invites us to look a little closer—and feel a little deeper. Faith was drawn to I Can Hold Your Heavy by the title alone. It immediately sparked a question: What does it mean to carry heaviness? For her piece, Faith chose an unexpected vessel—a television—to explore the invisible weight we carry and the stories we often keep hidden. Faith believes that sharing our vision, our experiences, and our stories can be a way of getting to know the hidden parts of one another. We may not be responsible for carrying someone else’s burdens, but we are part of a collective that needs one another as we navigate the hardships of being human. Her work asks you to pause. To take in what you’re seeing. To look beyond the surface. And to consider what it might look like to hold heavy—visually, emotionally, and collectively. We invite you to experience Faith’s work and the stories of more than 20 artists as they explore the invisible weight we all carry. ONE NIGHT ONLY | FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC 📍 Dilworth Artisan Station Inside Artful Narrative Studio 2nd Floor | Suite 25-C 118 E. Kingston Ave. Charlotte, NC 28203 Artist Reception: 4:30–5:30 PM Open Public Art Crawl: 5:30–8:30 PM 📅 Friday, September 4 What we carry isn’t always visible. Come explore what happens when artists give the invisible a vessel, a story, and a place to be seen. #ICanHoldYourHeavy #MeetTheArtist #InvisibleWeight #WhatWeCarry #ArtfulNarrativeStudio CharlotteArt CharlotteArtists InteractiveArt ArtAndMentalHealth -—— The views and perspectives expressed in individual artworks are those of the participating artists and do not necessarily reflect the views of Artful Narrative, I Can Hold Your Heavy, its partners, sponsors, or affiliated organizations.” by @faithsarchivess
