Our beloved Madou,
You reminded us to prepare for death, and now your words remain. I have no doubt you were beloved to our Rabb. May He accept your influence and your striving for good deeds in your young life as sadaqah jariyah. 🤲🏾

Salaam all,
We invite you to join us in preserving his beautiful legacy and keeping his message alive. We pray it becomes a continuous sadaqatul jariyah for him. May Allah accept. 🤍 by @fanaa.fakoly

In Memory of Madou Doumbia...

When someone we love passes away, their story does not end. In Islam, when we perform good deeds inspired by someone who has returned to Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala), those deeds can visit them in the grave and benefit them.

Every sincere action done on their behalf is a gift, one that reaches them even when we no longer can. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) reminded us that just as we would repay someone's financial debt after their passing, we can also fulfill their spiritual and moral legacy through action.

This form is an invitation to reflect, remember, and contribute so that his goodness continues to ripple outward. Even if you didn't know Madou personally, consider responding based on the stories you have seen and/or heard others share about him.

Why We're Collecting These Reflections

We are gathering stories, lessons, and acts of goodness inspired by Madou so that (i) his impact is remembered and honored, (ii) others can be inspired to act and (iii) ongoing reward (ajr) continues to reach him through the deeds of many.

The most common reflections will be turned into a shareable graphic encouraging others to continue these acts in his name. You may respond to one or more of the following. There are no right or wrong answers, only sincere reflections.

May Your Lord’s Light reach every corner of your resting place, Madou // Ameen ya Rab 🤍🤍🤍 by @fanaa.fakoly

Please share to increase his hasanat! 18 years old brother who passed away after returning from Umrah. What a beautiful way to depart from this world. A voice that carried the Qur’an with humility, beauty, and sincerity. May Allah accept his recitation as ongoing charity, illuminate his grave with the light of the Qur’an, and grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Modou Doumbia, you will be remembered for all of your good work, in shā’ Allāh. 🤲📖

His Janazah will be tomorrow Thursday Jan 15th at 12:30pm InShaaAllah at 21628 Fenkell Ave, Detroit, MI 48223. by @fanaa.fakoly

#BMPC2024.
Home is where…
In the middle of a delicious lunch, in a beautiful sunlit room, 16 year old BMPC volunteer Madou Doumbia of Detroit MI, stands to call the Adhan for Dhur prayer. We are all stunned into silence by his magnificent voice. I wonder, is this what our beloved Bilal Ibn Rabah (ra) sounded like calling the believers to prayer and success 1400 years ago?

Mashallah.
This young man - his spirit, heart and smile made me so proud. Shout out to his sister, @mwfnational board member @fanaa.fakoly for driving from MI with nearly her entire Doumbia crew. We love y’all! Please make dua for this family. May Allah bless and preserve them. Ameen.❤️ by @fanaa.fakoly
