TONIGHT AT 9 PM EDT / 6 PM PDT: Prince of Darkness is a cautionary tale about opening up strange cylinders you find in church basements. And pretty much tells you if Donald Pleasence is in the movie, things are going to go bad. But would modern audiences open up a sequel or leave it sealed? Join the VCR Redux crew as they are possessed by the notion of the perfect sequel pitch.

TONIGHT AT 9 PM EDT / 6 PM PDT: Thinner was a chilling movie about a curse that caused too-rapid weight loss that was only cured by pie. Which means pie cures everything. But would modern audiences enjoy a sequel or see it as the ultimate weight loss program? Join the VCR Redux crew as they try to trim down their ideas to shape the perfect pitch.

TONIGHT AT 9 PM EDT / 6 PM PDT: Buffy the Vampire Slayer hit movie screens in 1992, and while it received mixed reviews, it did spawn a sequel TV series that was top-notch. But what if a film sequel was made instead? Would it be to die for or put a stake through the heart of the franchise? Join the VCR Redux crew as they try to find the one pitch in a generation that will slay the vampires, the demons, and the critics.

TONIGHT AT 9 PM EDT / 6 PM PDT: In 1980, the film 9 to 5 was a fun comedy about 3 ladies seeking revenge on their boss, a misogynist and a tyrant. It received mixed reviews, and the theme song was a hit for Dolly Parton. Would a sequel have resonated with fans? Or would they have given their two weeks' notice? Join the VCR Redux crew as they spend a full workday coming up with sequel pitches that could drive us crazy if we let them.

TONIGHT AT 9 PM EDT / 6 PM PDT: Dick Tracy jumped out of the 30s comic strips and into the movies, and made us glad Prohibition is no longer a thing. This brilliant detective inspired Batman to put young boys in danger fighting criminals. But could a sequel give this movie a modern spin? Join the VCR Redux crew as they track down the criminally absent ideas so they can put these pitches in the big house.

TONIGHT AT 9 PM EDT / 6 PM PDT: Clue was a hilarious movie based on the board game and did astonishingly well. One of the reasons for that was an incredible cast, which included the recently passed Tim Curry, to whom we dedicate this episode. Join the VCR Redux crew as they put together evidence to try to figure out what the real sequel pitch should be.
