![Wildwood Dubai Premiere 🌳
Wildwood is a generational film, fully done in stopmotion, longest in history and thats not the only good part.
Its impressively gorgeous, the attention to detail is immense and every frame is a work of art. My god it was eye candy.
Wildwood is a grand tale of responsibility, revenge, with the theme revolving around how much a mother can go for their children and where your approach takes you. Its not a lighthearted film, its deep, dark and mature, challenging heavy themes in a fantastical setting out of LOTR or GOT, that kind of heavy and deep.
Personally, this film almost reaches the masterpiece level in terms of quality, storytelling, character building and score (man the score is FANTASTIC), the only thing that did resonate with me is the messaging of the film. Right to the conclusion, it went to a place I personally can't get behind.
But, BUT, go watch it and appreciate this work of art. Its one of those films that needs to be experienced @laikastudios take a bow, the 16 years of work delivered something special.
8/10
