“Gonzo the Great” 💙💥🎺⭐️❓👽🐔🪠🔥🌶️💛 Continuing the most sensational inspirational celebrational Muppetational series, this look was inspired by The Muppets’ very own resident daredevil performance artiste, Gonzo … the Great! Gonzo is … something. Sometimes he’s referred to as a weirdo … an alien … or simply a ‘whatever’! Regardless of what he is, one thing fans will never question is Gonzo’s ability to make us smile with his unique charm. Although it doesn’t include a chili pepper shirt, this look captures Gonzo’s affinity towards prints and patterns. As an artist himself, it was essential to add an element reflecting art advocacy with the Art Matters button. The companion star brooch references Gonzo’s stunt work and time in the spotlight as well as his supposed extraterrestrial origins 👀 (‘Muppets From Space’ 1999, I’m looking at youuu). My personal favorite touch of this look were the chicken earrings (fun little Play-Doh craft project) because yes, our Gonzo is indeed still happily courting Camilla the Chicken 🐓💘 by @fashionleeee
The Muppets present… Kermit the Frog 💚✨🎭⭐️🐸🪕📽🎵🌈💚 Hi-ho, Kermit the Forg here! Today’s look is inspired by the amphibious leader of the most sensational inspirational celebrational Muppetational bunch to entertain generations: The Muppets! These characters mean a lot to me, inspiring me beyond just fashion, so I will be doing looks for the rest of the main cast in the near future. Who better to start this series off than with the most famous star of them all, Kermie ✨🐸✨ A highlight of this look were the white goggle sunglasses intentionally placed at the top of my head as a reference to Kermit’s eyes. However, my personal favorite touch was the bright green bicycle pin. It is a reference to the visual gag of Kermit riding a bike, a moment depicted in a few of the films (swipe til the end to see a clip) 🚲 [Lee Tip: Looking for a relaxing tune to sleep to? Give the Carpenters’ cover of ‘Rainbow Connection’ a try … although Kermit’s original version will always be superior 🌈🍃] by @fashionleeee
“Boba + Chill” 💜☁️🧋🍠🎨🎀🤍 A simple look for a relaxing afternoon out with the Mrs. (mom 😌). We weren’t planning to visit @bobaandchillfl but I’m glad we did because my outfit matched the taro milk tea I ordered and the retro interior design of the cafe 🤩 Inspired by 1980s teen fashion, this look is great for a long summer day out on the town. Little details make it a step up from a basic ‘shorts and a t-shirt’ look 🍬 it’s all about the details, my friends! [Lee Tip: If you want to change up your milk tea order, try replacing tapioca pearls with lychee jelly] by @fashionleeee
“Bumbling Bee” 💛🌻🐝🌼⚠️📌🖤 Quick story 👀 Over the weekend, my family and I went to check out an art walk that featured local artists, food, and live entertainment. There was a large canvas set up for the community to paint. So I’m enjoying myself, painting a flamingo, when suddenly I feel what I thought was a raindrop hit my head. I looked up… clear skies, no clouds. Huh… weird. Anyways! I kept painting but still felt something on my head. I swipe at my head to remove whatever it was and 💢 a sharp pain erupts onto my finger. I retract it to see… a bee stinger 📌 featuring venom sac and all! I’m fine (just some swelling) but I can’t get over the randomness of this sting. Did the bee die mid flight? Did it decide to take a little break on my head? I thank God that the bee didn’t sting my head though, ouch 🙇🏽‍♀️ So, because the way my brain works, I had to wear an outfit to church the next day inspired by this bee encounter. Make pain into art, right? This look features the obvious color scheme of yellow and black, floral earrings and bracelet, a honeycomb shaped ring, and a jar charm filled with yellow glitter (✨pollen✨). Although not the actual Beehive hairdo, my hair is inspired by the 1960s as a reference to the Beehive’s rise to fame during the decade. The outfit overall is 1960s inspired. “Summer School” 📚✂️💒✏️☀️🖍🦞📓🩴 Earlier this year I helped start up the children’s ministry at my church and it’s been the most rewarding experience. I always try to wear a fun, yet comfortable outfit when it’s my turn to teach the kiddos. I had a bit of a fashion block this past Sunday until I saw this shirt in my dad’s closet… …kids like lobsters, right? My favorite sandals, oversized bag and mismatched beach sandal earrings make this the perfect summer look while still being practical for the classroom Can’t forget the froggy bracelet and matching ring set courtesy of @sherrimercedesofficial who also captured these great shots 📸🐸 by @fashionleeee
“Woodbine” 💚🌸🌴🗝🌷👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏻‍♂️🍃🕰💃🏽💐💗 One of best ways to end Spring is by attending a spring wedding and last month, I attended the most beautiful and impactful wedding of my life: my older brother’s ☺️ My lovely sister-in-law requested for us bridesmaids to wear the color ‘Dusty Blush’, a beautiful pale pink. As many may know, my favorite color is green so I immediately started finding different ways to incorporate the color into my look. The dress I chose reminded me of classic South American/Spanish dresses, such as the costumes in the action romance ‘The Mask of Zorro’, so I leaned into that theme for the details of the look. The venue for the wedding was The Villa Woodbine, a Mediterranean-Renaissance style mansion built in the 1930s with heavy Cuban design influences. Overall, I wanted the look to seemingly blend in with the villa and it’s rich romantic history. Happy One Month Anniversary, @scrapbookary & @robbyjr__ 🤍 I love you both more than words can say by @fashionleeee
“Blue Monday” 💙🪩🌀🔗💠🎣🚹💿🌊🖤 “While I walked down to the beach Tell me, how does it feel When your heart grows cold?” This outfit was inspired by the 1983 dance-club hit ‘Blue Monday’ by English Rock band ‘New Order’. I created this look last week for my dad’s birthday because his favorite color is… you guessed it… blue! He grew up on Miami Beach during the 80s and was quite the discotheque fan 🕺🏻so I thought to bring that out in an outfit. Coupled with the rolled up ripped jeans, the vintage Blue Marlin pendant hints to the beach. The silk blouse, shiny silver hoops, comfortable footwear and clipped-on house keys makes this the perfect outfit for a night on the town, searching for the best place to break it down on the dance floor. [Swipe til the end to hear a snippet of ‘Blue Monday’!] Happy birthday, @federhofer44 💙 by @fashionleeee
“Pirate Frontman” 🖤🏴‍☠️🎸🖤🎤⛓🖤⚓️🎶🖤 Inspired by rock ‘hair’ bands of the 1980s, this instantly became one of my favorite smart casual looks. The flared pants and oversized black dress shirt (thanks, Dad) reminded me of typical fictional pirate garb. Aged silver jewelry, a thick black wrist band and some wild curls closed the gap between 1980s rockers and 1680s pirates. So rebellious! - Thank you to the lovely and incredibly talented @gscxtt for these shots. She took these a few months ago and I instantly fell in love with them. They inspired me to start up this fashion account again, so thank you, Gabby 💚 by @fashionleeee
