I prayed out loud and there you were, God knew I needed you Josiah. I thank him every single day for you 🙏🏽. My Sonshine, light in the dark the true meaning of my heart outside my body I'm so proud of you! 12 trips around the sun & you never cease to amaze me 🥹 Every chapter in our story lead us here and our story is still being written, I'd choose to be your mom in any lifetime 🤞🏽 Happy Birthday Jojo 🥳♉️🤎 by @fastlane5unny

"Dearly Departed"

Truth is I should’ve left after the first lie. After the first fist. After the first bitch. Truth is I allowed you to be in my way because I chose to stay. Truth is you still don’t know what love is til this day. Truth is I’m thriving and a year later you’re pining for someone who no longer exists. No longer a victim to your fists, a slave to your kiss, a watered down version of my highest self. Truth is I never knew you and I don’t want to now. I was stuck in a mirage for 6 years all tears, broke my heart but my vision clear. I would say I’m done but we never started all the love I gave is yours to keep cause you’ll never fill a void this deep. by @fastlane5unny

Do I look 29? Do I look like my innocence was stolen at 4? Do I look like I lost my Dad at 22? Do I look like I lost my grandma on my 23rd birthday? Do I look like I was homeless for 2 1/2 years? Do I look like I’ve been fighting my only living parent in court for my Jojo for years? (I won btw). Do I look like I battle depression and anxiety? Do I look like I have PTSD? Do I look like I lost in love? Do I look like I buried my brother 90 days ago? By the grace of God, NO! If you knew me before 2017 then you know I went light on this list, if you met me after then you probably didn’t know any of this at all. Obstacles are meant to be overcome, they only keep you down if you let them! If I ever cried on your shoulder thank you 🫶🏽 if you ever cried on mine I hope your storm has passed. Today when I look in the mirror I don’t see my trauma, I see my growth. I see a mom, who chose to live for her son, I see a Chef who started her business from her hotel room, I see a sister who’s in an amazing place with her siblings, and I see a 29-year-old who’s immensely blessed that I don’t look like what I’ve been through 🥹🙏🏽 by @fastlane5unny
