POSTS STORIES REELS

I almost cannot believe it has already been Half a Year with my new Buddy. Got myself a Candle 9.28.25 I’m so happy to have made it where a lot of people have not. I pushed myself when I thought I physically could not go anymore. I still get frustrated but when I look back at EVERYTHING I have gone through I know I’m here for a reason & no human person can take away from my journey. So Happy 6 Month Liver-r-sary to me!!!! Always sending prayers up high for my donor & their family! You are my angel!! Thank You for continuing to watch over me and giving me the push I need when I am down. I know it’s you 💚😇💚 Thankful for my amazing Transplant Team at UH Newark!!! Thank You for all my nurses & new friends I have gained along the way. I appreciate all the kind words you have sent me too!!! 🫶🫶 #livertransplant #liverwarrior #aih #lifeaftertransplant by @fee_felina

September 28, 2026 🤍🫶🏽 — 1 Year as a Liver Transplant Recipient
One whole year. 🥹💚
My first year as a liver transplant recipient has been eventful, to say the least. I had all these big plans to celebrate today, but God said, “Not so fast, honey.” 😂
After what was supposed to be a routine procedure, I ended up having complications that put me back in the hospital for the entire week. Thankfully, my amazing team found the source of the bleeding and fixed me right back up.
And honestly? It was another reminder that I’m still healing. I may feel stronger, look better, and be living more of a “normal” life, but this precious gift I’ve been given still needs to be cared for—and so do I.
None of this was because of anything I did wrong. But maybe this was God’s way of reminding me to sit down, slow down, and actually REST. 😂 So that’s exactly what I’m doing today and for the foreseeable future.
Because despite every challenge, I am SO incredibly blessed to still be here. And on this first Liver-versary, I choose happiness, gratitude, love, and life. 🤍
I’m beyond grateful for everyone who has stood beside me through this journey.
To my amazing long-distance bestie who made sure these little gifts made it to me, just to remind me what a badass I am—THANK YOU. 🥹❤️ To my beautiful, amazing stepdaughter who made sure I had something special to remind me how loved I am—THANK YOU. 💕
To my husband and stepson, who were practically racing each other to be the first to say “Happy 1 Year Liver-versary.” 😂
And my little trolling son who HAD to say it first before he fell asleep last night because he needed to “ACTUALLY” be first. 😂😭❤️
To my wonderful parents, who have been there every single step of the way—and who continue to remind me daily to SLOW DOWN because apparently I still don’t know how to stop. 😂 … by @fee_felina

Spent my Labor Day with my teens and honestly, I loved every moment of it. 🥹💕 I took them to experience their FIRST West Indian Labor Day Parade in Brooklyn! 🇬🇾🇹🇹🇯🇲🇧🇧🇬🇩

And yes… we took the subway for the first time since my transplant. 😩😂 Major ICK!!! But we came prepared with ALL the hand sanitizer and extra precautions — and my teens were just as serious about keeping me safe because they care too. 🥹❤️

This crew is definitely going to keep me young 😂 and I love them wholeheartedly… even when they are absolutely driving me INSANE! 🤣💕

As I’m coming up on my one-year liver transplant anniversary, I’ve been reflecting on just how much they’ve been there for me. Through the good, the bad, the overwhelming moments, and even my “psychotic” moments when I felt like I was losing it 😂 — they’ve shown up for me in more ways than they probably realize.

Life after transplant has taught me A LOT about people, love, priorities, and who truly cares.

These days, my focus is simple: protect my peace, take care of my health, and pour into myself mentally, emotionally, and physically. 💚💕

One year later… I’m still here, still healing, still learning, and most importantly… STILL LIVING. 🥹💚💕 #livertransplant #autoimmunedisease #aih #lifeaftertransplant by @fee_felina
