22 fighter jets. 3,000 VFX shots. 200 actors. Four and a half years. Feel Good Films founders Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Mehboob Pal Singh Brar speak to Justin Rao about the making of #OperationSafedSagar, the extraordinary scale of the project, the technical challenges and the people who spent four and a half years bringing it to life.

From working with real MiG 21s and IAF personnel to shooting at 16,000 feet, building a hydraulic cockpit and creating thousands of VFX shots, this was a project that constantly pushed us to find new ways of solving problems.

Thank you @justinjrao and @hollywoodreporterindia, for such an exhaustive and deeply insightful conversation with Feel Good Films.

And thank you, @mulberry_media, for making this conversation happen.

Did you know? ✈️

As DFX Supervisor on #OperationSafedSagar, Partha Pratim Das and the team studied real fighter jet references and worked closely with the creative team to bring authenticity to every sequence.

For Partha, the work went beyond technical execution. It was about the emotion, respect and responsibility that came with telling a real hero’s story.

More behind-the-scenes insights coming soon. Watch this space!👀

I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to @setu_dop Sir for giving me the opportunity to be a part of Operation Safed Sagar, the Netflix series, as a First Assistant Camera (1st AC) in your team.

Being associated with such a prestigious project has been an incredibly valuable experience for me, both professionally and personally. Thank you for trusting me, bringing me on board, and giving me the opportunity to contribute to this remarkable journey. It truly means a lot to me.

Looking back at our shoot in Sinkula in April 2025, the challenging high-altitude conditions, extreme cold, and unpredictable weather will always remain unforgettable memories. Equally exciting was being part of the flying sequences created using Unreal Engine, along with the MRMC and Emotion Merge X systems on the studio floor. These experiences pushed us beyond our limits and tested our patience, endurance, and dedication, while reminding me of the passion, teamwork, and commitment that filmmaking demands from every individual on the crew.

Heartiest congratulations to you and the entire team on the successful completion and release of Operation Safed Sagar on Netflix! It is truly wonderful to see the hard work, sacrifices, and dedication of the entire crew come together and reach such a prestigious platform.

I feel proud to have been a part of this incredible journey and will always cherish the memories, learning, and experience I gained along the way.

Thank you once again, Setu Sir, for your trust, support, and this wonderful opportunity. Wishing you many more successful projects, exciting challenges, and incredible journeys ahead! 🙏🎬

What does it mean to put everything you have into your first project? For Feel Good Films, it meant nearly half a decade and all eggs in one basket with Operation Safed Sagar. When you are building a company, there is always the temptation to look ahead to what comes next. We chose to put everything into the story in front of us. Four and a half years later, Operation Safed Sagar became the first project of Feel Good Films.

In this special conversation with @kabirsinghbhandari of @freepressjournal , we spoke about what that journey taught us about building FGF, about taking risks, finding the right people and trusting the story enough to see it through.

Thank you, Kabir, for such a thoughtful conversation.

And thank you, @mulberry_media, for making this conversation happen. by @feelgoodfilms_co

Exactly a month ago, on 7th August, Operation Safed Sagar (OSS) was released — and since then, it has been loved by so many people around the world.

Shot over many months, across multiple cities, this show has been a wonderful ride and an experience I’ll never forget. From the long days to the challenging locations, every part of the journey had something memorable. Shooting at 16,000 ft was definitely my favourite part — and, at the same time, the most difficult.

I’m incredibly grateful to the crew and the production for their constant support, and for the immense amount of hard work that went into bringing this show to life.

A very special thanks to the many, many people who were part of this project — and to everyone who made this journey what it was.
So grateful to have been a part of Operation Safed Sagar. ❤️ @matchboxshots @feelgoodfilms_co
