Disclosures so we can get started 👏 by @felicia_barela_

Q4 is here and I have a few questions for you.

Personally and professionally:

1. What went well for you this year?
2. How did you utilize your strengths?
3. What kind of weaknesses surfaced?
4. Who did you ask for help?
5. Who did you welcome onto your referral list?
6. How well did your time management work?
7. Did you retain employees that you appreciate?
8. How do you need support heading in to 2027?

2027 is just around the corner and I’d love to support you, your business, family, and friends with business planning and brainstorming, event planning support, life insurance, and volunteering.

My calendly link is listed and waiting for a coffee with you ☕️

Cheers!

I asked two mortgage professionals a simple question…

"What are you doing to make sure AI recommends YOU?"

Their answer? "I don't know." 😳

And you know what? They're not alone!

There are incredibly talented, experienced professionals out there who have spent YEARS building their reputations, serving their clients, and growing their businesses.

But here's the question…

When someone asks AI to recommend a professional in YOUR industry and YOUR market, are you showing up?

Being great at what you do is important. Making sure your digital presence reflects that expertise is becoming just as important.

That's why I'm having these conversations.

Because the way people discover businesses is changing, and I don't want great professionals getting overlooked.

Now I'm curious… If I asked YOU that same question, what would your answer be? 👇

As a life insurance agent, I believe that building relationships goes a long way. This why I continue to showing up for our community, supporting those around me, making warm introductions, and creating meaningful opportunities to connect.

Every conversation is an opportunity to learn. Every introduction is an opportunity to build trust and find support. And every relationship is an opportunity to make a difference in the communities we choose to be in.

Coffee and connect is my specialty.

And I cuss too much.

Plus I like picking out my own “uniform.”
Converse, dark jeans, and tie dye shirts 🤷🏽‍♀️

If you want an unhinged life insurance agent, send me a message, an email, or schedule a meeting on my Calendly.

My first networking coffee was with a guy who handed me a blank Monday–Friday schedule.

We talked about what my schedule looked like at the time, and honestly, it looked something like the terrible photo above.

My schedule allowed me to say “yes” to way too many things that weren’t generating income, increasing productivity, or moving me toward any real purpose. I was in a lot of places and in front of a lot of people, but often it felt there was no reason.

The truth is, I had a really difficult first year in my business. I didn’t know where to start, and I had very little guidance.

Thankfully, I met a couple of people who were willing to help me. They helped me structure my schedule, become more intentional with my time, and eventually get into places I actually enjoyed being, and with people I genuinely meshed well with.

And that changed things.

I started spending my time more intentionally, and that ultimately helped me produce more income without feeling like I needed to be everywhere, all the time.

Just recently, I had coffee with a guy I consider both a teammate and a friend. He’s currently taking over parts of his family business, and we got into a conversation about the importance of having a schedule and prioritizing income-generating activities.

He asked me: “Why do you do this for free?”

Simple: Because someone did it for free for me.

The help I was given was something I desperately needed before I could grow my business without being exhausted every day of the week.

To be fair, I was already at that point.

Being an entrepreneur can be exhausting. It can be unpredictable. And for a long time, it can feel like we’re constantly moving without knowing whether we actually moving forward or not.

All it takes is one person sitting down with you and helping you see your schedule and your business differently.

If I can be that person for someone else, I’m happy to do it. by @felicia_barela_

As the mother of a teenager, I can tell you that conversations about money definitely change as our kids get older.

It starts with things like saving birthday money and whether or not to give an allowance. Then suddenly you’re having very real conversations about spending, working, independence, wants versus needs, and what things actually cost.

And yes, the conversation around, “Do you really need another Squishmallow or plushie?” becomes a surprisingly relatable lesson in financial decision making.

That’s why I wanted to share this event from my friends at Citrine & Gold Financial Services. They’re partnering with Nikki from Raising Real World Kids for Money Matters for Parents, a FREE online workshop about helping kids develop a healthy relationship with money.

They’ll be talking about allowance, age appropriate money lessons, needs versus wants, work ethic, entitlement, and how we can better prepare our kids for the real world.

Thursday, October 1 | 5:30 to 6:30 PM MDT | Zoom

It’s completely free to attend.

As a mom, these are conversations I’m navigating too, and I think this is going to be a really valuable hour. by @felicia_barela_

One year in with this team and we haven’t stopped moving.

Watching Brynna present is always great. She offers knowledge, planning, care, and support at a level that is unmatched.

To say I’m proud is an understatement.

I feel lucky to have crossed paths with you and your team when I did because I genuinely don’t believe I’d still be doing this work if I hadn’t.

I’m excited to be movin and goovin and for our new teammate! Let’s send @baylee.rosado a 👍 everyday. It’s well deserved. 👏

If you missed the presentation at Colorado Startup week, no worries it will be coming soon. 🙌🏽
