Pokรฉmon A350 debut in FRA ๐Ÿ˜ - Due to the opening of Terminal 3 itโ€™s now possible to spot the China Airlines gate arrival in the early morning hours. - When I looked at the FRA arrival list the night before and the Pikachu Jet C12 Livery for flight CI61 was assined, it was clear that I would be at the airport at 6:20am the next morning. Unfortunately, the German Railway Company made me a big stress with delays. Due to strong tailwinds, the plane was also 40 minutes early, so I was about to crash out and everything would be for nothing. In the end, I arrived at the very last second, while the plane was already over apron on short finals, but luckily for me, it went around and rolled to the gate 15 minutes later in perfect conditions - ๐Ÿ“: FRA โœˆ๏ธ: China Airlines ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ: TPE-FRA (CI61) ๐Ÿ†”: B-18916 (๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ผ) - @aliya.hfn thanks for letting me sleep at your Place to get the early Train. Blast from the pastโ€ฆ - The retirement of the Condor 757 is now almost a year agoโ€ฆ Like this year with the Lufthansa a346, I tried to photograph as many Condor 757s as possible last year. Unfortunately, it didnโ€™t work with D-ABOI for a long time and I had already doubts to see D-ABOI with light at least once again. Everytime wheter the Weather or the flightschedule looked good, a different aircraft were set to operate the flight. Most of the times I were at the airport, D-ABOI didnt even operate to Frankfurt at all as it was stationed in Dusseldorf. As the last week of operations approached, I was actually lucky again with a sunny Saturday and an afternoon flight with the 757 to Palma de Mallorca. Even more lucky for me, D-ABOI was scheduled to operate this flight. In the hope of getting last second photos with sun, I drove to the airport and well... it was worth it! This departure marks the last ever commercial takeoff from D-ABOI with sunshine from Frankfurt! - Today D-ABOI rests in St. Athan in the UK and is the next Condor 757 which is ready to be scrapped. Really sad to see the 757 fading from European skiesโ€ฆ โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” ๐Ÿ“: FRA โœˆ๏ธ: Condor ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ: FRA-PMI ๐Ÿ†”: D-ABOI (๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช) โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” @frankfurtairport @condorairlines #condorairlines #frankfurtairport #aviation #b757 #aviationphotography by @felix.aviation_
After more than two decades of service the end is nearโ€ฆ. - The aircraft that stole my sleep in the past four weeks is about to complete its last ever passenger flight for Lufthansa. As of today, the 18.10.2026, the last ever regular passenger flight of the LH 346 left Frankfurt at 13:43 local time bound for Washington IAD as LH418. This brings an end to a time with many ups and downs. Often the 346 has brought us into despair with the everyday runway gamble. Many Hours of sleep had to be sacrificed but they are all worth it for the mornings, in which the plan worked out and I was rewarded with beautiful sunrise lighting pictures. I want to thank everyone with whom I had the pleasure to catch the A346 over the past few years and especially the last few weeks full of trying to collect the last missing angles. Although the many missed opportunities and not ideal photos every time I really enjoyed the time! - Lastly I want to dedicate this post to @jetsbykev, @basicallytom and everyone who missed the a346 because of FRA ATC or other unpredictable circumstances. โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” ๐Ÿ“: FRA โœˆ๏ธ: Lufthansa ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ: IAD-FRA (LH419) ๐Ÿ†”: D-AIHW (๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช) โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” @frankfurtairport @lufthansa @lufthansaviews #frankfurtairport #aviation #aviationphotography #a340600 #lufthansaviews by @felix.aviation_
Last Sunday I was finally able to complete my China Airlines Long-haul special livery collection. After catching the Pokemon livery and the Carbon Fibre - Airbus livery on the A359 this summer, I only needed the Boeing livery on their 77W. Luckily China Airlines changed the aircraft operating the route from the A350 to the 777 in late summer, whereby the chance to catch the long and extremely wanted Boeing livery. Unfortunately for a long time only the standard livery came. But last Sunday the wait fortunately ended and the Boeing Livery were scheduled to operate flight CI62 back to Taipei on a sunny late summer day. This was probably the last visit for this beautiful livery in Frankfurt this year after the flight will be changed back to the A359 in a few weeks. โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” ๐Ÿ“: FRA โœˆ๏ธ: China Airlines / Boeing Livery ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ: FRA-TPE (CI62) ๐Ÿ†”: B-18007 (๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ผ) โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” @frankfurtairport @chinaairlines.eu @chinaairlines.tw #frankfurtairport #aviation #aviationphotography #chinaairlines #chinaairlineseu by @felix.aviation_
In early January this year the at that time brand new Air Canada Fly the Flag Livery visited Frankfurt for the first time, operating the return flight to Montreal. Fortunately, the weather was great that day and it was immediately possible to photograph the new livery in beautiful winter light. Especially the golden maple leaf bathed in rare European winter-light catches me every time! - The Livery was made in honor of the Canadian Olympic team at this yearโ€™s Winter Olympics in northern Italy. Swiss Hairdryer arriving in Zurich after an inner European flight from the Spanish Coast. ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธโ˜€๏ธ - One of the main reasons for my Zurich trip were to catch the EdelweiรŸ and Swiss A340 before itโ€™s upcoming retirement. Sadly on four days of spotting, only one evening were nice and cloudless. Luckily on this day Swiss operated a short haul flight to Spain with their A340, creating a great opportunity for me to catch the arrival in beautiful lighting conditions. After arriving at the spot 30 minutes before estimated arrival, the only cloud on the whole sky moved directly in-front of the sun. But sometimes you need a bit of luck and so the cloud cleared up just on time for this beautiful Swiss heavy arrival! โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” ๐Ÿ“: ZRH โœˆ๏ธ: Swiss ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ: ALC-ZRH ๐Ÿ†”: HB-JMB โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” @flyswiss @fra.spotting_tim @zurichairport #viral #photography #aviation #swissairlines #flyswiss by @felix.aviation_
My Freighter Airlines approaching runway 25L with some dark storm clouds in the background - A few days ago My Freighter Airlines changed their aircraft for the route to Frankfurt from a 767F to a 757F which was reason enough for me to catch the arrival from Tashkent in the afternoon. As with freighters so often they departed Tashkent with a delay of 2 hours and so the arrival time also got delayed by 2 hours. It was cloudy all day but according to the weather forecast it should clear up in the early evening just in time for some crisp golden lighting. Fortunately because of the delay the my Freighter were scheduled to arrive perfectly in between the moments with sunshine. - In the end they arrived in beautiful summer sunshine with some dark storm clouds in the background, creating a fantastic atmosphere and contrast. โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฟ โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” ๐Ÿ“: FRA โœˆ๏ธ: My Freighter Airlines ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ: TAS-FRA ๐Ÿ†”: UK75001 (๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฟ) โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” @e.d_av_photography @frankfurtairport @aerovincenzo #frankfurtairport #aviation #photography #757 #myfreighter by @felix.aviation_
Lufthansa Oldie leaving Frankfurt bound for India - Most of the 747-400 that are still flying for Lufthansa are scheduled to operate routes to North America like Toronto or Vancouver. The flights to North America departing Frankfurt via runway 25/07 C. Only the flight to Bengaluru is still operated by a 744 and leaving Frankfurt on the more spotter-friendly runway 18W. Sadly the departure time at around 12:50 is almost every time of the year horrible for lighting conditions. On a cold cloudy day in March this exactly flight was delayed by roughly 3 hours so I had to take the opportunity to capture the flight in good lighting. Fortunately the clouds cleared up just on time for the departure and I got lucky with beautiful winter lighting โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” ๐Ÿ“: FRA โœˆ๏ธ: Lufthansa ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ: FRA-BLR ๐Ÿ†”: D-ABVX (๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช) โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” @frankfurtairport @lufthansaviews @lufthansa #frankfurtairport #lufthansa #lufthansaviews #aviation #aviationphotography by @felix.aviation_
Last year, Icelandair operated their 767 to Frankfurt every Saturday during the summer flight plan. I somehow managed to only get 1 shot of the 767 in bad weather conditions and I completely forgot that I still need it before the aircraft will be changed back to the 737 Max. Suddenly October approached already and I heard that only one more 767 flight was planned. After hearing that I panicked and thought I missed my last opportunity to get the Icelandair 767 at Frankfurt with sunshine at least once. As the weather was foggy and rainy all week, typical German autumn, my hopes dropped more and more each day for at least some sunshine. But luckily against all weather forecasts, during noon the clouds disappeared for some hours and I got my chance to get the 767 with some nice light on it! - Until today no Icelandair 767 ever visited Frankfurt again, probably marking this flight in October 2025 the last service to FRA as I donโ€™t think it will return one last time in the last few months they have left. Really sad to see the 757 and 767 disappearing from the Skies! โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” ๐Ÿ“: FRA โœˆ๏ธ: Icelandair ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ: KEF-FRA ๐Ÿ†”: TF-ISO (๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ) โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” #frankfurtairport #aviation #b767 #icelandair #aviationphotography @frankfurtairport @icelandair by @felix.aviation_
South Korean VIP Dreamliner rushing down runway 18W for a short hop to Munich. - After missing the Korean Gov 747-8 a week earlier because of my spotting trip to Zurich, I was really happy when I saw this South Korean private 787 visiting Frankfurt only one week later. It landed in some bad conditions but the weather for the departure 2 days later looked really promising. In the end it left Frankfurt on a perfect summer morning in really good lighting conditions. - The Dreamliner came to FRA chartered for the Samsung CEO who reportedly brought something, concluded a contract and checked some bank details. โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” ๐Ÿ“: FRA โœˆ๏ธ: South Korean Government ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ: FRA-MUC ๐Ÿ†”: HL8508 (๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท) โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” @frankfurtairport @aerovincenzo #frankfurtairport #viral #aviation #photography #787 by @felix.aviation_
China Airlines Carbon Fibre - Airbus Livery departing Frankfurt with a delay of 9:30h bound for Taipei. - Normally the return flight to Taiwan is scheduled to leave Frankfurt at 11:15 and with the Airline mostly departing on time this massive delay created a rare opportunity to get the China Airlines A350 in sunset lighting. The little cherry on top is that China Airlines sent their Carbon Fibre Airbus livery that day. - Unfortunately they spent more time with pushback and taxi than expected, leading to the departure with only a soft golden touch and not intense sunset lighting. But however, Iโ€™ll take this rare angle and light conditions for the China Airlines A350! โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” ๐Ÿ“: FRA โœˆ๏ธ: China Airlines / Carbon Fibre - Airbus Livery ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ: FRA-TPE (CI62) ๐Ÿ†”: B-18918 (๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ผ) โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” @frankfurtairport @chinaairlines.eu @chinaairlines.tw @aerovincenzo #frankfurtairport #aviation #photography #a359 #chinaairlines by @felix.aviation_
This flag will always fly ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ช - A few weeks ago Emirates stopped the A350 service to FRA. Just to restart the route with the A350 after a few days again. Only two days after the resumption of the route, A6-EXR, with the fresh added livery with the flag of the United Arab Emirates was scheduled to operate to Frankfurt for the first time ever. After catching the arrival of another highlight in the morning I had 10 minutes to get to the new spot at the other side of the airport by bike. Thatโ€™s a very short time for a distance that usually takes 20 minutes, so I rushed with my bike and prayed for every single second delay the Emirates could possibly get. In the end, I made it just on time to the spot while the EK 350 already had lineup on rwy 07C, marking a record worthy bike run half around the airport :). Emirates / This flag will always fly livery ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ: FRA-DXB (EK44) ๐Ÿ†”: A6-EXR (๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡ช) โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€”โ€” @emirates @frankfurtairport @fra.spotting_tim #emirates #viral #frankfurtairport #aviation #photography by @felix.aviation_
