POSTS STORIES REELS

Many people know Felynn for the food. But fewer know the story behind how it all began.
.
.
Before Felynn became a gathering place for the Filipino community in Hampton Roads, it started with one woman who spent more than 30 years managing restaurant franchises before deciding it was time to build something of her own.
When the journey became too much to carry alone, her daughter left a successful career in real estate to help turn that dream into a family business.
.
.
The road wasn’t easy. It took sacrifice, long hours, and a willingness to learn whatever the business demanded.
Today, every dish we serve is a reminder that this restaurant was built not just on recipes, but on family, resilience, and the courage to start over. by @felynn1943

Once upon a time we had a cook…he thought he had leverage but he didn’t. When Felynn’s cook quit, Mama Lynn didn’t close the doors. Mom Fe stepped into the kitchen and cooked for three months straight, and it was really hard at first.
“When you own a business, things like that happen. That’s what you got to do. Just do it.”
This is what’s beyond the table. 🍽️
Have you ever had to step up when someone walked out? 👇

A family business carries more than recipes. It carries years of effort, lessons, and care passed on as the next generation steps in. by @felynn1943

Some things are worth passing down. 🇵🇭❤️

We put our community in the hot seat and asked one question: “What’s one thing Filipino culture should never lose?”

Because preserving culture isn’t just about remembering where we came from. It’s about what we choose to carry forward.

Now we’re passing the mic to you. 🎤

The food at Felynn reminds Celeste of being at her grandmother’s house. Bringing Adonis here gives her a chance to pass that feeling forward and introduce him to more of the Filipino food connected to his culture while It isn’t about making him love every dish. It’s about making sure he gets the chance to know them.
What Filipino dish would you introduce to the next generation first? by @felynn1943

For Celeste, bringing Adonis to Felynn was more than a mother-and-son lunch. It was a chance to introduce him to Filipino culture through the food she wants him to know.

Here’s a first look at their afternoon together. More from Celeste and Adonis soon.

There’s something special about seeing two local businesses come together and watching the whole room enjoy it.

Good coffee from Buko Boy, Filipino food from Felynn, and people choosing to spend their afternoon with us. We’d love to do more days like this, Virginia Beach. ☕️🇵🇭 see you guys at the next one! by @felynn1943

Come hungry and point to what looks good. Find a seat and stay awhile.
A regular afternoon at Felynn means full trays, shared tables, familiar faces, and plenty of laughter between bites.
